"The check-in time is not very convenient. Guests can only enter from 5pm, and check-out is at 10am, which feels quite restrictive for a short stay.
The swimming pool is also quite limited in terms of usage. If you arrive at check-in time, you only have around two hours to enjoy it, as it closes at 7pm. This makes it difficult to properly make use of the facilities, especially for travellers who want to relax after arriving."

"First stay was ok however staff seem too busy and are not attentive.Attend to you when they can. Ask to change second stay date and they refused. Too busy for the effort."

"The family were so lovely and welcoming. We got to meet the father who was so very interesting and shared many memories and stories of the Chateau and his family. Would recommend staying to all for a unique French Chateau experience. Also loved the five-course evening meal by the chef, truly unique."

"J’ai tout aimé de mon séjour. Le personnel est accueillant et accomodant, la piscine et le terrain sont bien entretenu et la chambre était confortable. Je pense qu’ils méritent vraiment plus d’étoiles que ce qu’ils ont!"

"Accommodation is in little semi detached cottages in the gardens, which is very charming
Bed very comfortable, breakfast very good and evening meal fine
Only downside was having to use a tablet to read the restaurant carte. Fine for those aged 15 and under but at my age these things get difficult
Heater in the bathroom was a bit rusty, which took the edge off a gorgeously refurbished hotel
We shall visit again,now that I know to head for Pontabault rather than Val St Pere"
