"The property itself was spotless. I didn't see a speck of dust. It is obviously cleaned pretty much daily. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was good. The kitchen was clean and had everything you needed. I would add some baking trays and oven gloves but apart from that it was great! The bedroom was clean and tidy. "Unfortunately, the property did not meet reasonable cleanliness or maintenance standards. On arrival, the oven and hob were visibly dirty with grease and residue, and the kitchen overall did not appear to have been properly cleaned. There was no bin provided anywhere in the property, only loose bin bags left for guests to manage waste themselves. The bathroom showed visible mould around the shower area. "Hotel has recently reopened so there’s bound to be some snagging. No bin in room or bathroom, no towel rail, part of door jarm not painted. No staff to be seen at breakfast and went to reception to ask for eggs as none left. Staff on reception were helpful and apologised. The bedding and bathroom was clean and staff told me that the hotel has been fully refurbished. The dining room and hotel has an elegant but cosy feel."
