"I was welcomed to the property, shown to my room by a friendly and helpful lady. She explained about the shower, tea and coffee making, and how to access the property using the fob. There was also a written guide in the room. The problem I encountered was the small spotlights were flickering which made reading or knitting difficult so the first night I lay on the floor by the bathroom door to read as these lights did not flicker. On the second night a chair had been provided so I was able to sit at the same end but on a chair which was more comfortable."

"Hotel is looking quite dated now. Bathroom was cramped and difficult getting in and out of the shower. My main issue is breakfast timings. Stayed for business and at check in told breakfast was from 7-9am. On my first day it didn't start until 7.30 and the second arrived at 7.45 and informed that didn't start until 8am. No communication beforehand to the guests. Meant that I had to rush on both days as otherwise would have been late to my jobs. The food was nice and the kitchen staff were helpful but clear that their hours were being reduced to save costs."

"The overall stay was excellent value, I was well looked after. The room was spotless, clean and comfortable. The evening meal was the highlight, spot on and super tasty. One of the best stays I have ever had in the UK other than those over £300 per night (not often) and this was a third of that price. "
