When we booked this hotel, we thought it was only a hotel. But, it is actually so much more! It is an Olympic training center, so they have many activities from which to choose. Since this was a quick stay for just one night to catch a plane the next morning, we only had the afternoon to take advantage of the facilities. And that we did! We utilized the snack bar several times, used the lifting gym, and went bowling. There is something there for everyone: multiple swimming pools, a huge kids area, and more!l. If we ever have a reason to stop through Rovaniemi again, we will definitely stay there again!

We stayed in a superior family room for 2 adults and 2 children the room was big and clean all of the amenities you could want were provided. We only stayed a night but would be more than happy to stay longer.

Couldn’t fault it . Beds super comfy , room well stocked. Breakfast was great , staff super friendly and so much for families /kids to do . Whole hotel really clean and lovely area outside to go exploring . Would go back in a heartbeat .

Breakfast is below par compared to any other hotel. It’s also not so close to public transport so be ready to take few expensive taxi rides. The hotel itself is clean.

This is a huge resort property that offers a lot of activities on site. I wish we had another day to do their activities. This would be my choice if I had an active family with kids to go and experience fatbike, cross country skiing and snow shoeing.

Comfortable and enjoyable stay
It was a nice stay. The hotel had all amenities - restaurants, indoor swimming, indoor funpark for kids; helps with the -15degC temperature outside! Comfortable rooms and friendly staffs, food was nice. Definitely would come again with the family.

Staff at the reception was really friendly and helpful. As a stranded passenger who finally found refuge in this accommodation and getting excellent service from the frontline just make our delay all good again. I dont remember the name of the staff but we were there on 21 dec 3 pm till 22 dec 9am. Both time the gentleman and the lady at the reception was excellent. Our apartment was awesome. Clean, bed was very comfortable. Only complain was we could hear people outside the apartment running up and down the corridor. otherwise, we are very happy there.

Stayed here 09/12/22-11/12/22. Room clean and warm with everything you need. Reception staff friendly and nothing too much trouble. Lovely area, not far for a taxi to Rovaniemi centre. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel is a sports hotel and it has gym members as well apart from hotel guests. So at any point in time, hotel guests are losing priority to the gym members. I think hotel could not establish its identity. Are you a gym or a hotel? As a paying customer of the hotel, why do I get limited times for facility usage when there are gym members. I asked this question to the front desk, they did not want to help with this. They said these are the rules. Customer experience is terrible I would say. Only person that was helpful was the receptionist when she took us earlier than check-in time. Food is super limited. We finally had to order wolt last day. Also hotel wanted to charge us using the gym apart from 6-9. None of these rules are explained anywhere. Receptionists do not know the times of the fun park for kids and they keep guiding you wrong. Last but not least, no house keeping has stopped by our room for 4 nights stay at the hotel to change towels or anything. I think hotel is a very low budget hotel and poorly managed and gym members definetely gets a priority in their minds. Example, fun park is closed for hotel guests' kids between 4-8:15 because there is gym members' kids there. Why?? So many unexplained rules

nice staying in Santaport Resort
This hotel is not far from the city center of Rovaniemi, if you have a car, only within 10min reach to the city, and 20 min to Rovaniemi airport. it is quite conveniently located, friendly staff reception as well, simple and quick to check-in/out. breakfast also nice. spacious room and nice to have a table with 4 chairs. I could do office work. toliet/shower room is clean and comfortable. I didn't get any complain/discomfort on it. also good thing, there are small kitchen, dishes, knifes, cups, with micro wave. it's great to stay with it. I didn't go to swimming pool, it looks enjoyable.

my son was almost hit by a bus here yesterday. Good thing it was only his luggage hit by the bus. The bus and taxi parked on an awkward way. Where to catch the taxi is not in a good spot. Very dangerous!!!! We stayed 2 nights here and the hotel did not atleast pick up the trash. The bathroom was awful the water from the shower was flooding. The receptionist was awful too. He gave us bad direction and still did not correct or helped us when we were lost! I DO not recommend this place I only booked this place because everywhere else were fully booked!

Good value base to explore when with car
Good base to explore Rovaniemi. Outdoor adventure park is good and you get discount as a guest. Swimming pool/spa was closed during stay, complimentary children's fun area was given instead (worth €4) not really compatible. 3 bed apartment was nice, modern, clean and sauna was lovely. Nice complimentary toiletries.

The hotel is a good place to have some fun in the snow and same time be close to Santa Village and the city. We went for hiking and sledding in the snow. The spa is ok and has a hot water zone (some weird rules in terms of clothes and showering). The food in the hotel is bad starting in the breakfast... poor quality and lots of junk food. Sauna in the room was nice but the shower water goes into the electrical plugs ... very dangers- see pictures.

Imagine your local sports centre with a cafe, pool and a large hall serving meals of the quality you’d expect at your local sports centre. Then add a few rooms. And call it a “resort” and add the words “Santa Claus” in there somewhere. This is not a hotel and is overpriced for what you get with virtually no service that you’d expect at a traditional hotel on offer. Cleanliness is also an issue which needs more work from management. You’re about a twenty minute walk from town (although most experiences do offer a pick up service) and unfortunately we never really looked forward to returning in the evening. The previous reviews about swimming pool opening times are not true - we found a long period of usage but again - pre booking imagine your local sports centre pool rather than a hotel pool. The staff are not unfriendly or bad intentioned but if you’ve come all the way here unless you’re really not in the slightest bit bothered about creature comforts this may not be the place for you.

Budget hotel in Rovaniemi
Hotel is not near city centre. However we hired a car and find the hotel following the GPS. Since Feb is high season in Rovaniemi and hotel offers us 5 rooms a good rate. Hotel is not actually a hotel. It is a sports complex offering indoor swimming pool, sauna, balls games etc. Breakfast is in a canteen and food is basic. Rooms are generally small with two single beds. Bathroom is clean. Overall is okay but remember it is not near centre.

Great hotel for families
We chose this hotel as it is one of the only ones with an indoor pool. The pool hours are not ideal as it is largely closed in the mornings but it is a great pool with water slide and hot tubs. Be warned, boys and men need European style bathing suits which you can rent or buy at the hotel. The family room was excellent for a family with 2 rooms and a small kitchenette. The PlayStation in the room did not work. Cleanliness was ok but not perfect. Room was not cleaned while we were there. We obtained new towels from the desk as the room towels also doubled as swimming towels. Breakfast was included and ok. We ate at both restaurants as the hotel is a fair distance from downtown and other restaurants. Koti pizza also delivers to the hotel. We did not bring our skis but there are cross country trails directly across from the hotel. The walking path to downtown was easy to navigate and well-maintained, even in winter. There is also indoor and outdoor playgrounds at the hotel, which the children enjoyed. (4€/child extra fee for indoor playground). We had a great trip to Rovaniemi and would definitely stay here again despite the small flaws. For families with active children, this was a great choice.

Nice place, great facilities. Would be handy if there was a decent bus to the train station -have to take a taxi. Walk into town is ok, takes about 30 minutes.

Cheap and simple
Clean, simple, and no-frills. It did the job as a one-night late arrival stay, but I would seek something else if I had to spend more than an overnight here. Also, there's no WIFI in the building.

Not a hotel room but rather smelly dorm rooms with very very very grosse and dirty showers. Staff not very friendly either. Location pretty far from town and other attractions unless you will be skiing.

Decent rooms for a short stay. A little cold despite heating and lack of tea/coffee in the room, but otherwise quite nice. Bowling alley and ice skating rink connected to the hotel, plus plenty of parking

I wanted to like this hotel. Really I did, but the fact that I was given an erroneous time for check-in. I fully expected to be able to check in at 7 AM according to the booking. I was not able to check in until 3 PM. Additionally, there is no phone in the room and quiet hours were not observed. At 11 PM kids were running up and down the hall outside of my room. The front desk didn't respond to my email until the next day. This place has a lot of potential, but for the amount of money that I spent on this room – I expected better

Could be a good hotel... if the building work is finished. Getting woken up at 7am by a drill on your outside wall is not enjoyable and almost ruined what was a nice couple of days seeing Santa and the reindeer et al. Although out of the centre of Rovaniemi it's no bother getting around by taxi - if the hotel doesn't give your taxi to someone else! The hotel penalised paying guests by not allowing you to use the facilities, such as a children's play area, which is reserved for gym members only?! The room was good although I'm not sure what is going on with the beds as they were all single beds - it was a good job our room had a sauna in the bathroom otherwise I'd be struggling to think of a redeeming feature.
Our room was the middle one in red, right next to the building work.

Away from the center of town.
A bit hard to find (part of the Olympic sports complex), and Spartan, but inexpensive by local standards. If you just need a place to sleep and a functioning bathroom, this is the place.

Pre-Christmas stay.
We stayed 3 nights here and although it feels more like a hostel than a hotel, we would definitely go back. The staff are helpful and friendly, the breakfast is very good and bowling is half price for staying guests. The children's play area is excellent and I heard good reviews of the swimming pools although I didn't use them myself. It is walking distance from the town which makes it more economical to take a bus to SantaPark and SantaVillage.
