"Clean and convenient"

"We were in town for a one night stay before a cruise. We were excited to check in and start our vacation. I greeted the woman at the desk and asked her how she was . Her response was "I'm in pain." Oh, ok. Sorry to hear that. And I was. But that is not who the hotel needs making a first impression. I was immediately felt let down and almost guilty to be excited. She said they have rooms available then but it would be $25 for an early check in. We have traveled all over the US and 25 countries in Europe and I have never heard of an "early check in charge". We just paid it so we could get to exploring the hotel and area. One of the things I was excited about was the one bar and restaurant they had inside, it is a really cool retro nautical theme. We were disappointed to find out it was closed all day. So a hotel has one indoor restaurant and it's closed all day on a weekend? They have one other snack bar type restaurant out by the pool but the rain looked like a sure thing anytime. We walked around the rest of the property and it just looked run down. Paint chipping, pool furniture worn out, pool water looked dirty. The next morning at 6:30 we were awakened to an ear deafening sound of a fire alarm. Everyone had to evacuate. We stood by while the fire trucks came and it was declared a false alarm, the system is not working properly. We went back up to our room and two hours later the same fire alarm happened. Instead of feeling refreshed for our cruise were were tired/stressed."

"They seemed to have a towel shortage - I was given 1 towel each day"

"The AC did not keep the room cool. On the website it said the parking is free apparently they just changed it and we were charged for parking."

"Breakfast was typical bargain hotel faire, tasteless. Did not use the pool. The room was partially clean (the toilet and sink). The floor was so dirty that my feet were black after walking on it for five minutes! There was hair in the corners and I tracked it all over the place. The shower floor was dirty, if you can imagine! The shower also had black algae in the corners. I would not recommend this dump to my worst enemy. The ride from the airport was fine. The bus ride to the port was an absolute clown show. The bus was completely full, so they had folks standing up in the aisle at the back of the bus and then ran out of luggage storage and proceeded to roll luggage down the aisle up to the poor folks that were standing. They had a senior citizen as a driver and the poor SOB had to load and unload the bus himself. The employee that gathered everyone together to load the bus thought he was a comedian but was rude and crass! "

"Great location clean rooms"

"The property was well appointed and great location to lodging, airport and port. The room was clean and concierge staff professional and friendly. My only complaint is that a guest had a BM in the pool- facilities staff was aware but didn’t post a sign that pool was closed. We went to get in the pool and another guest had to point out the issue. We lounged by the pool. The facilities staff came. They used the pool net to remove most of the waste (not all). Proceeded to empty the nets content on the cement and use a garden hose to push the BM into the mulch- then place the net back on its side- there was zero sanitation done on the net. I found it extremely unsanitary to simply put human BM in the bushes along the pool walkway. "
