"Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! "Room was basically clean bedding very fresh. Bathroom mouldy and missed soap deposits in bottom of shower. Shower rail broken and unable to take out of holder. Shower intermittently cold and scalding hot. Unable to shower properly and unable to shower the toddler after a hot and dusty day out. Parking so limited upon returning after our festival at 10.45 pm unable to park with a very tired toddler in tow. Tried to find a member of staff which took me a further 15 mins. "I have just stayed at The Fighting Cocks for the weekend. Unfortunately we choose the weekend of the A31 closure and the New Forest fires! Resulting in a lot of traffic passing the pub. Not their fault. The staff were very helpful and friendly the room was great, clean and comfortable and breakfast was included and really tasty. We had an evening meal on the Saturday which was ample and reasonably priced. All in all a great little stop over."

"The property was very clean and comfortable and the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Just a couple of observations . If a client is using derogatory foul audible language aimed at women in the bar area they should be asked to stop by the manager/bar tender - it’s not pleasant to be subjected to this if you’re sitting quietly trying to enjoy your own drink . It would be great value & a positive accolade for a simple continental breakfast to be included in the nightly rate instead of...

"Terrible hotel outdated rooms manager closed the bar at 9.50 even though we were residents and we had just arrived said the pub was not busy enough to stay open . So bad we checked out a day early Do not stay there its cheap for a reason"
