We had such a wonderful stay here with my husband and 7-month old daughter. The room was well-sized, clean and quiet. The staff were incredible, especially the gentleman at breakfast - they made us feel so welcomed and were so helpful and accommodating with our little one. What a warm place to stay. We loved it!

Fantastic hotel - service was top tier and they couldn't have been any more accommodating. The manager was lovely and even happy for us to wait in reception for a while after we'd checked out as we had some time befire our flight and it was too hot to be walking about with cases! A special mention for Buboka and his friendliness at breakfast - my nephew was always happy to see him and he was just lovely 10/10 will stay again

Very basic room and very small in size. There was no space to put your luggage. Most of the staff at the property were extremely helpful and friendly but the main guy at reception was not great. When asking about the best way to get from the hotel to a site he would not offer up information instead we got one worded answers.

The Republic hotel is in a great location in Rome. We could get to most of the attractions in Rome by few minutes walk. The breakfast buffet is very good, the rooms are clean and staff are great. There are many amazing Italian restaurants close to hotel. The main terminal is also in walking distance so if you want you can easily take train from airport to main terminal and walk to the hotel. We has great time there.

There are two main issues I had with this hotel. First, this hotel is by the train station Termini no where near the Spanish steps. The line under the hotel may near the Spanish steps. No where close don’t book because of thar. In fact, this is not a good neighborhood in Rome anything by the train station can be sketchy. My wife who hasn’t been to Rome as much as I have booked this not knowing. Second, the front desk staff gave us one key for each room. We booked 3 rooms between the 8 of us and had one key. When we asked for more keys they were not happy to give us another card and in fact tried to at a 10 euro charge for this without even telling us. You can find better accommodations in Rome for the money.

The hotel itself is great. However, some areas within 100 meters from the property are really rough. There are groups of homeless people drinking and urinating in the streets. Again, these are not on hotel's premises.

The hotel is ideally situated if you are going to use the train station and metro regularly, which we did. Some good restaurants can be found locally. La Famiglia is one to seek out. The hotel was perfect for us as a family of three. Friendly, helpful staff at hand and a decent breakfast to start the day.

Very conveniently located near Roma Termini for easy access to Trains and bus. Great breakfast to start your day. Staff was nice and friendly. Very clean and bedding very comfortable. We stayed 6 days and would stay here again.

The hotel was great in housekeeping. The staff was not always friendly or helpful. When I asked the front desk about how the bus system worked there, they treated me like I was not worthy of an answer and didn’t. When I went to breakfast in the morning the host didn’t ask me my room number, instead he yelled at me for it as if I knew I should give it to him without him asking in the first place. Just rude. The night before I checked out, the front desk called to ask if I was checking out the next morning which I confirmed I was and he then asked if I needed to order a taxi to go to the airport and informed him that I planned on taking the train as it was well within walking distance. We’ll come morning, there was no hot water and no heated towels anymore. I believe that was in retaliation to me not agreeing to a taxi as the conversation when I checked in was that the hotel can arrange the taxi for me and they would get credit for doing so. Needless to say, I would not stay there again as there are other hotels to go to that would not treat people like they did me. I’ve never experienced such rude behavior at a hotel before. It’s too bad, the other people there did a great job.

The hotel is in great location, there are a lot of shops and restaurants, I visited their sister hotel restaurant, and it was delicious. The breakfast was good but i think it could have more choices. Overall it was great, i will stay there again and I have recommended the hotel already to others that are visiting! Prime location!

Very courteous staff. The rooms were excellent in every way from cleanliness to space and amenities. There were several homeless camps just outside the hotel, so that was a little unpleasant.

5 minutes walk from Termini station and metro this is a well located neat little hotel on the edge of the huge number of historical and other tourist attractions, within walking distance for those happy to yomp around Rome. Small but immaculate room, good little breakfast set up and a small reception and bar

Location really matters in Rome and The Republic links up with Termini and the subway system. Everyone likes the wonderful breakfast and we did also. If you ask for decaf, they will find one. Otherwise there are many options. The staff is professional. If I could change one thing, I would add surfacing in the showers. Most of my party of seniors felt like we were standing on glare ice in the shower as it was very slippery. Great stay of three nights.
