This hotel was sufficient for our needs. What I was so disappointed in was after an exhausting trip on a 10 hour flight and being forced to arrange an overnight stay as close to the airport as possible I chose this hotel which on Expedia said it was about 6 miles from the airport when in fact it was over 15 miles away. We had to wake up even earlier to be sure to make it to the airport and get through heavy traffic. Also had to pay over $100.00 in taxi fares due to the distance. My confidence in Expedia has really dropped.

The room is dirty and very small. Found spider in the bathroom. You smell weed all over the hallways and the lobby. Find another hotel not worth the stay

The property needs a heavy maintenance work and most likely renovation. Only one elevator is working the other one is out of service. Rooms are low maintained and has lots of things need to be fixed. For instance, charging ports for cellphone we're not functioning and bathroom door lock is not working. Smoking is prohibited as a regulation. However, you can smell weed and smoke all over the hallway and management seems don't care. Comfort inn management needs to spend money to make this hotel attracted to the people who visiting Carowinds.
