"The view from the property is amazing. The rooms were spacious and clean. We stayed at a 2BR room - both bedrooms had an AC so it was nice to have cool rooms during the hot and humid nights. There are many birds in the area - I saw the most colorful Tucans there. We also saw some wild monkeys. "Beautiful lodge in the mountain forest with beautiful landscaping around the individual cottages along a hill. Delicious food and very friendly staff. The perfect location for birdwatching, particularly the Resplendent Quetzal. Hence we saw one male, a female and a juvenile quetzal for about 30 minutes during the special quetzal tour in the morning, in addition to a male quetzal right at the lodge and another one that I could film along the nature trail of the lodge."

I did not realize that the rooms did not have A/C, so things were hot the first night (reception closed at 8:00), but they were able to get me another fan the second night l, which made things better.
