Divi Southwinds Beach Resort

"It was a little rough start with a broken lock on the door, No internet in the living room & a trail of ants in the bathroom but Heather is a Legend with her compassion & excellent customer service. We were moved to a different room the next morning. Patrick made sure our next room was perfect for the duration of our stay! We would stay here again! We love the three pool options. My favorite pool is the Beach Pool which we can literally walk to when we wanted to splash in the gorgeous ocean water. We Deeply Appreciate & Thank everyone who made our first visit to Barbados a memorable one. Shout Out to Heather, Patrick & the other young lady (Sorry, I forgot her name) you are Marvelous."

"I recently visited with my family. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to St.Lawrence Gap where you can find many restaurants, bars and nightlife. You can walk to the beach from the hotel, but I would not suggest swimming there. The island has many other beaches that are swimmable. There is also a market nearby. You can access public transportation by taking a short walk to take the public transportation or use the island App PickUp for a ride share. The room was clean and organized. There is a restaurant and bar onsite. We enjoyed happy hour and spent lots of time at the pool. Our room was accessed by an outside hallway which attracted lots of bugs at night, however others in my group had rooms where they did not experience the bugs. The staff was extremely warm and welcoming. I had an issue with the room service, however the manager Tara was very helpful. She listened, empathized with my concerns and was extremely accommodating for the remainder of our stay. I’d recommend this hotel for a budget friendly option when visiting the island."

"My family and I stayed for only one night, so unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to fully enjoy everything the property has to offer, including the amazing pool, deck, and the many hammocks throughout the property. The atmosphere is very peaceful and relaxing. For dinner, we took a short three-minute walk to a nearby restaurant, which was very convenient and the food was great. The owner was also very accommodating. We requested an early check-in, which was kindly granted, allowing us to drop off our suitcases in the room before heading out. The room was clean and comfortable, and the main bedroom has a huge bed that looked more like a California king! The only downside for me was the drive to the property. The roads were quite bumpy, and the journey felt a little never-ending. I would definitely recommend having a car and purchasing any groceries, drinks, or other supplies before heading to the property, as I don’t recall seeing many shops nearby. Overall, we had a great short stay. I would definitely recommend this property and would happily stay again, hopefully for a little longer next time so we can fully enjoy all the amenities."

Owner Ann Marie has meticulously crafted every room and detail to create a unique experience that far exceeded our expectations. The property is filled with uplifting and inspiring messages that gently remind you to live life fully and enjoy every moment. The made-to-order breakfast was absolutely to die for—fresh, delicious, and prepared with care. A special thank you to Ameena, the manager, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was in place and made our stay even more enjoyable. The modern touches, from the HomePod to iPad ordering, perfectly blend technology with warmth and charm. The location is wonderfully quiet and tranquil, right by the ocean and conveniently close to the airport, with easy access to the city and beaches. Hidden Gem truly lives up to its name. A beautiful, peaceful, thoughtfully designed place with exceptional hospitality. If you’re looking for somewhere special, this is definitely a place worth discovering. 🇧🇧❤️ Highly recommended!"
