"My stay at Locando di San Martino was great. The place was perfectly located in the middle of Matera with beautiful views through the window and outdoor sitting areas. They offer a free shuttle to and from the parking structure if you have a car, as you cannot park or drive near the hotel because of ZTL areas. This was so convenient and organized. "A gorgeous view of the Sassi and Matera. We were a quick walk from sites and food, plus had easy free parking close by. The staff were very friendly and the room was gorgeous. Be ready to get your stair-master on. There was an inside direct road into Matera Saadi center, but we preferred to wander the old part with gorgeous views over the valley. So up and down we went. "

"This resort is about 15 minute drive from the historic district of Matera. I had stayed in the center of town in the other cities we visited in Puglia. I liked the quietness of this location.
