"We really appreciated the reception desk manager and also meeting the new hotel manager. If your are a fan of literary history this circa 1716 inn is central to walking adventure. Upscale and very quiet."

"There was a good assortment of breakfast items. The lobby is very spacious and comfortable and was a great place for our large group to congregate for breakfast and in the evenings after dinner. Very happy with our stay here. Would definitely stay here again."

"What a great stay! From check in to check out everything was awesome. The rooms were spacious and well thought out. The kids loved the pool which was very clean. The beds and pillows were great for a hotel. Breakfast was nice, it’s more of a leveled up continental breakfast than a “hot breakfast”; but it got the job done and the kids fed. We can’t say a thing bad about our stay! It made us decide we need to look for more Element hotels in our future trips."

"We were there on a busy weekend and unfortunately the bar/restaurant was closed on a Saturday evening. The free breakfast was good, but the staff could not keep up on replacement of food items, napkins, plates, cups, etc. The workout room was large and had good equipment, but the equipment could use some cleaning. Be aware that the handicapped room has a smaller sized bed (double). The room was clean however it smelled like a combination of pot and dirty gym socks."

"This place is a hidden gem. We only needed a room for one night, but I wanted to stay longer. The room was big and clean, with a kitchen bigger than I had in some apartments I’ve lived in. The exercise room was a little cramped, but we weren’t there for gym facilities. The host had plenty of recommendations for food and drink nearby, too. Thanks for the great accommodations!"

"Hotel was really dirty . Sign up that said tht they were under construction but def didn’t see any and def not in the area where our room was. The heater was o noisy we didn’t stay the doms night. I’m starting to wonder about Expedia’s hotels have not been having good luck lately!!"

"Now that I've stayed here, I'm shocked at the number of reviews which mention "cleanliness" as a positive. I didn't require much. Just needed a basic room with basic amenities. Unfortunately, the walls in my room had peeling paint, the entire carpet had a sticky feel to it, there was a "clean" towel with long hair on it, and there was a big chunk of something left on the floor near the bed... Maybe I got the dirtiest room in the building? The staff were friendly but slow to respond. I stayed 3...

"Breakfast was amazing! Very crowded with folks in for The Boston Marathon. In spite of crowds, food fresh and plentiful. We had an amazing large suite which was soooo nice after spending 6 hours driving from Philly, then watching the Red Sox play and then visiting the Cheers bar! Wonderful night, comfortable bed, professional and friendly front desk staff. We will definitely be back!"
