spare a day to explore Railay area.
Do consider other hotel, if you intend to explore other attractions around Krabi, it is not so continent to travel @ need to use boats as transportation Meagan’s to get out from Railay.

Ideally located between east and west sides of the beach. Travellers should take a boat from Ao Nam Mao instead of Ao Nang. The latter is accessible from East Railay where there is a proper pier. If you coming from Ao Nang, you'll have to wade through the sea during afternoon low tide.

I stayed in this hotel with my sisters for 4 days 3 nights. The place was good and they provide free breakfast. They have good customer service but we struggle a little bit to climb up the stairs every time we goes out and get back. We had hard time to access to the hotel from Krabi town. The longtail boat charged 3 of us 1000THB and they dropped us at Railay West and we walked almost 20 mins to Railay East. Luggage are not advisable!!!! Overall it was a good stay but it will be great if they...

We had a free upgrade upon check in. The rooms were really nice and the balcony was spacious. You will have a good night sleep because there is no noise. This year we didnt make use of the swimming pool but the pool is really nice knowing so from last years visit.

The place is amazing, however its very secluded and to get there its a lot of work, but once you are in the area, it shouldn't be much issue. Great staff overall, and great perks, a big swimming pool, a few restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Just what you need for a good vacation.

Its about a 30 minute walking distance from the beach which is the equivalent of 100 baht by tuk tuk from the hotel to the beach and its away from the main streets. The quiet and calm was what we were looking for and we were very happy with that.

Surprisingly, the sea is calm all year long which is suitable for board paddling and kayaking and the resort provides these activities for free for their guests. Their Thai restaurant, The Aruntina have a lot of seatings facing the beach so you can enjoy their authentic Thai food which is quite delicious while overlooking the beach and the water activities. The Spa Section is under renovation so we get 50% off which is very worthwhile for those who wish to give Thai massage a try.

Sitting on the coast of the Andaman Sea, with its towering limestone cliffs, beautiful beaches and laid-back atmosphere, is the picturesque Railay Beach. Railay Beach has been popular amongst climbers for decades, but its serene beauty is now attracting all types of tourists. There are two beaches here, East Railay Beach and West Railay Beach, with the former being the main docking point to this otherwise inaccessible part of Krabi.
Don’t Miss
Nature is the main attraction in Railay Beach, with attractions and activities being based around it.
If you love jungles, caves and other scenery visit Phra Nang Cave, go trekking up to the lagoon viewpoint (Sa Phra Nang) or hike through the mountain area. For water sports, try kayaking around the peninsula or book a diving or snorkelling trip with one of the local businesses.
Climbing is a must while in Railay Beach, as it is actually one of the top climbing spots in the world. There are over 700 bolted routes up the limestone cliff that, as well as being adventurous, also offers spectacular views of the sea.
Restaurants and Bars on Railay Beach
Eating is a bit expensive on Railay Beach due to the cost of bringing things over. Plus, it is a predominantly tourist spot, with restaurants catering to this. Thai and international cuisine is available both in standalone restaurants and in those inside the resorts, with East Railay Beach having a wider selection. There are a few beachfront bars that are open well into the night for enjoying a beer or a cocktail while overlooking the sea.
Shopping on Railay Beach
There are a couple of convenience stores on Railay Beach that sell snacks and drinks at extremely high prices. Railay Beach also has a few small shops that sell souvenirs, beachwear and clothing, though most visitors will find better and cheaper options in Ao Nang.
