"This is not a typical hotel so some tolerance for a different experience is needed. What did out was the scent of the flowers, the beauty of the flowering plants, the variety of architectural styles of neighboring homes, and the proximity to the beach, albeit the river, not the ocean "

When we were there, a huge storm came through and we lost power the morning we were supposed to leave so couldn’t shower/ brush teeth/ use restroom. Elevators were also down. There was a lot of flooding in the room and hallways. "

"The staff were very friendly but the restaurant was closed on Sundays which we were not made aware of before. The facilities are clean and comfortable though a bit dated. Really nice indoor heated pool and kids play area. Mosquito coverings on window not well sealed and the mosquitos were vicious…even in the spring. "

"This hotel was expensive for what you got. It was very outdated and not very clean. There was no mattress cover on the mattress and the bathroom was moldy. Towels were threadbare. Pay a little extra and stay somewhere else."
