A Lovely Stay

We like to be able to walk to everything. The Aurora’s location was perfect. Right in the middle of Guayabitos and a block from the beach. The pool was a lovely feature, and we chose to have our coffee by the pool twice everyday. The staff were patient and kind, and also very responsive to our requests. We would stay here again.

Right on the main street so we could just walk out and find a restaurant or anything you want. Not a lot of English speaking staff but they quickly brought out a translater on there phones or a staff member who did and helped us quickly. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. We were there for Guayafest with all the Volkswagens and it was loud, upbeat and fun!

Why the smaller towns in Mexico are super.

The hotel is a gem. Great room cleaning daily, friendly and efficient mostly English speaking desk folks. The room was a junior one bedroom suite. Terrific. Great views from the semi private patio. Many, many restaurants close by and taxis are very cheap. We loved our stay.

This property was close to the beach with ocean views. We stayed in the penthouse the suite was nice but what we didnt like was there wasnt air conditioning in the living room, the beds were very uncomfortable with only one thin bed sheet. The shower and faucet water had a salty taste And to our surprise one huge roach in the kitchen and one in the bedroom. The location was beautiful but I will be returning to a different hotel next time

The location of this hotel is great. Half a block from the beach and the front of the hotel faces lots of walkable options for eating and shopping. They were very strict on their rules on this hotel that we were even afraid to use the towels and get anything on them because they will charge you a fee. The towels were really old, rough and not even white anymore. The mattresses on the beds were old and hard. Beds were not comfortable at all. It was nice to have a kitchenette if you wish to do some cooking just know there is not many utensils or kitchen items.

The resort was terrible, it doesn’t deserved to be called a resort. Motel 6 is better. No shampoo, no bottle water, no shampoo, had to request soap. Rented the penthouse what a disappointment. To add insult to injury got charged an addition 600 pesos per person when it was suppose to be for 8 person even when we were 7. Will never stay there again.

Had friends visit us on our balcony one evening till 10 pm, was told the next day no visitors were allowed at your room or balcony? Kept getting messages from the hotel saying ,No guest allowed

The hotel was requesting a first nights deposit hours shortly after I booked, but on the app it stated to pay when I arrived at the hotel. Once arrived I had to take inventory of all the items in the room. Our sheets and pillow shams were dirty and stained with oil and blood. I sent them the pictures through WhatsApp, they saw my message and never responded so I had to call the hotel. Once I talked to the receptionist it took them over an hour to bring us sheets and they didn’t have extra fitted sheets which were the ones stained with blood, it was late at night and we were exhausted so we just slept on one bed instead of one on each bed. I asked them the next day if due to the inconveniences I could check out at 1 and was told very rudely no.

Very disappointed.

The hotel staff when we arrived gave us one room as the other was being cleaned. We were early arriving and waited for about 2.5 hours until we got our second room. The reception people were nice and pleasant and said we needed to wait. Maintenance people and the manager Letty were good to provide us what we needed when we told them that our range did not work. Only two burners turned on. It took her a while but we got a new range the next day because they could not fix the one we had. The cleaning people were great, especially Bere the lady that always cleaned our rooms. She was very nice, polite and efficient and always asked if we needed anything. Bere was always the person assigned to clean our room. Then I did a Google review and mentioned her in the review. Next thing she is not our cleaning lady anymore. On the same day that our cleaning person was changed I noticed the manager Letty verbally abusing one of the other cleaning ladies. Something I have not seen done in any hotel I have stayed at. She was mean for the sake of being mean. But I did not interfere as I was just a guest in the hotel and did not know what brought on that type of anger. The rooms were old and in need of repair. The sliding glass doors had broken latches. There were light bulbs missing. The towels were old and ratty. Overall the stay was okay if the rate would have been lower. It was my most expensive hotel during my vacation and not worth the price for what I paid.
