"The staff were very nice and welcoming. The view of the lake from the front porch was beautiful. The staff took us on a pontoon boat of the lake which was relaxing and allowed us to see how calm and peaceful the lake is. I would recommend staying there."

"Rooms were clean, Private bath. Shared kitchen and living room which made for great company and the meeting of new friends. Met one couple at 7pm and chatted until after midnight. Not much in area for restaurants but you have use of the kitchen to reheat, cook or store food. Beautiful river on one side and the train line on the other. Ear plugs provided if you don't like the sounds of trains or you can watch the 103 cars go by. An interesting find with easy access after property provided...

"no air conditioning, no shower. no toilet paper, no cabinet near sink to place tolietries, bath is shared with 4 other rooms, no wifi or phone service on the 12 mile treacherous access road, not one light at house if you arrive after dark, no one to show you where to get room key or where room is located . If you want to experience WV try Hawks Nest Lodge in Anstead WV by the new river gorge national park...a MUCH better experience for a lot less money"
