"Away from the centre of the village, surrounded by mountains, we had a lovely view from our balcony of a field with donkeys grazing and a small chapel at the far end of the valley. It is quite a hike from the hotel to the lake. If you’re a hiker, then this is the place for you. The dinner was expensive and mediocre. I do not recommend the half-board plan. Breakfast was okay, very limited choices. They benefit from the high tourist numbers obviously reflected in the limited value for money...

"We loved our stay here! Great location and drivable to various Dolomites hikes and sights. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. We got engaged during our stay and the staff treated us to a complimentary bottle of prosecco! The sauna and spa facilities were also a treat to use after our long hikes. Breakfast was also fabulous with lots of variety, quality coffee and made to order egg dishes. Highly recommend staying at Hotel Orso Grigio!"

"The room was nice, the bathroom was great, and the staff were very courteous and helpful. There is a nice bar and restaurant on site so that was convenient. Be advised that this hotel is right next to the road so it could get loud. Let me qualify that I stayed during the Olympics so maybe it was busier than usual then. They also kept the lights on outside my 2nd floor window until late at night so if you're on that floor, bring a sleeping mask and some earplugs."

"The room was extremely clean and very well furnished. We were upgraded to a bigger room with balcony. The view from the hotel balcony was really beautiful and the room had additionally a mini fridge and a safe. The hotel has a reataurant which offers dinner as well (though we did not dine there). The location is around 3km away from the city center which can be reached in 5 mins with car. Reaching the popular Tre Cime region is also quite easy. "A genuine high quality hotel. Very friendly staff. The Dining Room is top class, superb food. Good sized rooms and well cleaned each day. Nice public rooms on Ground Floor with separate bar and dining room. Underground carpark, very useful when we got a severe snow storm. Easy walk into the town centre and there was also a crew bus shuttle service if needed. Will certainly return I hope. "

"El hotel esta bien mantenido y bin situado en el cento de la ciudad, pero los alrededores son muy ruidosos, en un viaje a Cortina uno busca tranquilidad y eso se consigue con un hotel en las afueras de Cortina. En las mañanas siempre nos despertaba un aserradero, el ruido de la recogida de las botellas vacías etc. Si vuelvo a Cortina me quedare en un hotel fuera del centro de la ciudad."

While the location of the hotel was great for us to walk to some dining locations and drive to different magnificent sights, our accommodations were just adequate at best. Our room was on the 4th floor. With the pitched roof in the bathroom. It made showering a bit challenging. There was just a jetted tub with a shower handle.
