"I think it all has to do with expectations. I think the main problem was it just lacked basic hotel items. No water kettle, no rubbish bin in the room, you had to pay for a coffee or tea yet there was no way to get any - same with water, luckily you can just drink the tap water. I think overall it would be a 5/5 if the hotel was rated 3 stars and was about 100 euros less a night"

"Such a charming hotel in the beautiful town of Sesto on the eastern side of the Dolomites. We had a wonderful four-night stay here. The rooms were spacious, updated, and so comfortable after long days of hiking. Everyone on the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and they made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a quieter place to stay with fewer tourists and a more local feel, we highly recommend it. Thank you again for the warm hospitality. We hope to be back someday!"

We felt very welcome and comfortable upon arriving - Josephine showed us around and set that tone for what would be a fun and comfortable stay. Recommend using the car valet service - it’s a bit pricey but so convenient as you will probably be heading out of town most days. "Away from the centre of the village, surrounded by mountains, we had a lovely view from our balcony of a field with donkeys grazing and a small chapel at the far end of the valley. It is quite a hike from the hotel to the lake. If you’re a hiker, then this is the place for you. The dinner was expensive and mediocre. I do not recommend the half-board plan. Breakfast was okay, very limited choices. They benefit from the high tourist numbers obviously reflected in the limited value for money...

Our family room was genuinely spacious, with a small flight of stairs leading up to a loft annex — a lovely touch that gave the children their own space while keeping us all together. The bathroom was on the smaller side but perfectly functional, and spotlessly clean throughout. "Comfy and stylish hotel in the center of Cortina. Room was on the small side with large furniture. Gym was tiny and dark but did the trick. "

"Property is quite old with rooms very stuffy and poorly ventilated. You either have a choice of keeping your (unscreened) windows very wide or having a very hot room - had to choose between boiling or listening to accordion music from the neighbors past 1am. Showers are fine, breakfast is pretty good. Not worth the price."
