Beautiful city, disappointing accommodation The city of Porto itself is absolutely beautiful and we really enjoyed exploring it. Unfortunately, our stay at this accommodation did not live up to our expectations. The room we were given was not what we had originally booked, and when we brought this to the staff’s attention, they were not accommodating or willing to offer us a room that matched our reservation. The cleanliness was also disappointing. The room was quite dusty and had cobwebs, to the point that we felt we needed to clean it ourselves when we arrived. We also found it inconvenient that basic necessities, such as toilet paper, required us to go out and purchase them ourselves. Towels and linens were also not changed unless we handled the laundry ourselves. Overall, while Porto is a wonderful city and definitely worth visiting, our experience with the accommodation was disappointing. We expected the room and service to be consistent with what was advertised and what we had booked, and unfortunately that was not our experience.

En ok stuelejlighed væk fra vejen med lille køkken og lille bad. Svært at komme ind i bruseren for mange. Der er ikke grænser for, hvor hjælpsomme de kan være, men da vi bad dem stramme en MEGET knirkende seng og de lovede det - skete der intet. Der er lidt klamt i rummet, men en lille terrasse udenfor. God placering i byen.

La ducha es ahorradora de agua y jabón, porque no te puedes bañar en ella, no cabe una persona promedio, es como para hobbits. Todo lo demás está aceptable, un poco lejos del centro.

Fint centalt hotel.

Hotellet ligger centralt, når man først har fundet genvejen til centrum. Det ligger dog i et nedslidt område, men med fri parkeringsmulighed i nærheden. God vejledning, dejlig morgenmad, og med supermarked og lokal cafe i nærheden.

The property was clean with lots of accommodations. The walls are very thin, if you get noisy neighbors like I did you will hear every step they made and it echos through the whole building. Portuguese people go to sleep late so it was noisy until 1am. Recommend if you are sound sleeper, otherwise stay somewhere else.

Notre chambre était déjà occupée à notre arrivée le 31 décembre en fin de soirée sans solution de remplacement (il nous a fallu trouver pour une nuit une solution à nos frais) . L'odeur d'humidité de la chambre fournie le lendemain q été persistante. Salle d'eau vraiment trop petite

The room was terrible, the smell in the bathroom was awful (leaky pipes, mold and dampness). Made it almost imposible to use and spread all over the room (had to leave door always closed). Overall it felt dirty, the refrigerator was not cooling. If you can choose do not stay there.

Des points d'amélioration

Emplacement super on peut aller partout à pied. En revanche l'experience du checking a été compliquée : mail non reçu donc appel a 21 h devant la porte pendant une heure pour faire des vérifications diverses et variées bien que tout avait été payé d'avance. Enfin l'appartement est très très humide humide attention si vous êtes fragile.

Local um pouco sujo, com cheiro ruim. Sem armarios, banheiro muito pequeno. A maquina de secar roupa nao estava funcionando e nao tivemos ajuda da equipe sobre isso. Nao tivemos a melhor experiencia neste local.

Quatro óptimos dias no Porto

O check no foi um pouco atribulado mas o Sr. Filipe foi impecável e resolveu tudo de imediato. Agradecemos os mimos que nos ofereceu á chegada : o vinho e o chocolate. Cama confortável , Ficamos num quarto familiar com dois beliches e preferíamos ter ficafo num quarto de casal . Não tinha utensílio para a coleta diferenciada. É preciso subir várias escadas e é inviável para pessoas de mobilidade reduzida .

Not a good experience

No one at the proterty to help. Ckeck-in is done online and it took multiple time before it accept the passport photo. Soneone triggered the fire alarm before midnight, but the property cannot do anything until the next morning!!! The alarm just ring for the whole night.

Avoid this terrible apartment. Worst service ever

Terrible apartment. Terrible service. Check-iin was very difficult and the room was mis-described. We left and did not even stay. Several guests were complaining at the same time. There was no reception, it is being decorated. It is all remote from Spain. I am awaiting a refund. Worst experience ever on Hotels.com

My biggest issue with this was that we booked what was listed as a 2 bedroom and it was most certainly not a 2 bedroom. It was a 1 bedroom with an additional sofa bed in the living room. The listing (which had no photos) mentions a sofa bed, but does not mention it's not in a separate room of its own, so don't expect privacy for a second couple or kids. That out of the way, here's the full scoop. The location is good, has a more local feel, not touristy. Very close to bus stops and a metro stop. Several grocery stores within 5 to 10mins walk. Several cafes nearby, go to Cafe Cifrao and get their francesinha. Easy walks to downtown too, 10 to 15mins depending where you're going. Just keep an eye on the hills (Porto is hills). Kitchen is nice, has everything you need. Nespresso machine even. Bedroom is fine, comfy bed, has its own little private patio. Outside the kitchen is a shared outdoor space with your neighbor, but plenty of room, each with their own smaller patio as well. AC works well if it's hot! Bathroom is ok, functional. The shower is the smallest, tightest, shower I have ever used in my life and I have been on a lot of cruise ships with small showers. Laundry room is ok, one is a washer only, the other is a combo wash/dry. However the dry portion did not work while we were there. Bring your own soap. When others are staying in the building, they will be loud on the stairs fyi. All in all, had a nice stay, just keep in mind the 2 bedroom.

The pros and cons of this property

This place was disappointing but acceptable for our trip. It was not what we were expecting from the pictures, but was OK in the end. My thoughts on this property: PROS: - Good neighborhood, easy to get to Porto sights - Clean enough and well stocked kitchen for a short stay. You could actually cook here. - A/C worked great, bright and sunny space CONS: - Horrible beds - Very little space to sit outside of on a bed - checking in is quite a process. READ the check in email and complete the process the day before! - I have seen larger bathrooms on planes. - Actual unit was pretty rough compared to pictures. - Pretty loud throughout the night when guests are coming and going. Bottom line is it was just a bit above a hostel experience. If you are 20 years old, not in the room much, and saving cash, it will be perfect. If you are having a nice visit with your spouse, look for a better room.

The worst experience we ever had. We stayed there 3 nights. The floor leans heavily toward one side: is like living in Pisa Tower. The stank coming out of the bathroom was permanent and we could not get rid off even if we left the fan running and the windows open permanently. After the 1st night our access code was canceled: I sent them several mails (no phone call was answered) requesting a new code: several persons answered, but they seemed all dops. Eventually after waiting in the middle of the night on the street more than one hour we obtained the access calling Expedia pretty quickly. We almost thought we where going to spend the whole night on the street: maybe a better choice after all to the sheet hole smell of that appartement. This was really wasting our money & getting a lot of bad energy.
