"The Vintage House is a beautiful hotel located conveniently on the banks of the Douro River where the tour boats depart. The rooms are very well appointed and the entire hotel ,pool and grounds are wonderfully maintained.

"We just stayed one night before a planned weekend on our way for a wedding at a nearby vineyard. This hotel was everything we expected. Welcoming service, comfortable room and nice breakfast. For our evening meal, the restaurant around the corner was recommended by front desk. A unique family run restaurant. Not sure it goes by the old name, but very easy to get to. Great place to stay."

I didn’t like how the front door of the hotel main entrance opened… we hurt our fingers several times when opening it ! There was also a bad smell at certain times of the day in the hallway, especially near the laundry/breakfast area ( looked like a sewage smell)"
