"The rooms were great. They were clean and had everything you needed. The issue we did have was with our key cards. We had to go to the front desk a dozen times over the 4 days we were there to get it redone. Other than that everything was great. A walking distance to all the fun activities and restaurants. The keg was right next to it so that was a plus. I would stay there again for sure."

"The location is ideal and within a short walk, just a few minutes,to shopping, restaurants, a park and across the street from the lake. Free parking with ample places. The room is not large but fine for a few nights. The grounds are well maintained. Everything was clean and the staff were friendly and responsive. "Breakfast was decent and free parking is nice. The lobby is great, and pool amenities. Staff are very nice. However, this hotel is outdated. The rooms, hallways smells. The washrooms and elevators are small and need to be maintained. Location is perfect but overall I think it’s over priced for the comfort and cleanliness it offers."

"A charming Inn to stay and enjoy all that passes by in Lock 7. Hskp staff very attentive and don’t miss a thing. Room 25 on 3rd floor is not perfect for photography as the neighbouring tree blocks a full shot of the ship in the lock. Balconies are a real plus and very clean! The chairs at the table are getting tired and should be replaced. Overall we had a wonderful stay. Make sure you visit the quaint town of Thorold. Lots of cafes and shops to enjoy within walking distance!"
