Hotels near Ponderosa Island

"Well, to start off, when I booked through Expedia I paid a deposit towards my room, leaving only a small amount due at the property. After getting to the property and the front desk running my card they charged the full amount with zero records of my deposit that I paid. After speaking with them and Expedia back and forth, NOBODY knows where my money went nor will anyone refund my money. I have made several calls and spoke with several people with zero luck or help. Hotel said Expedia owes me and Expedia says the hotel owes me!! Absolutely in shock that not one trace of my money can be found. And yes, I showed proof of the deposit being taken out of my account weeks before the stay. Both Expedia and Hotel at this point are at fault, one of them needs to make this right. "

"Staff was not overly friendly. Room was ok but the chair in the room had an extremely large stain that was still wet to the touch. The following morning, I awoke to water pouring from the ceiling into the bathroom floor. Someone above me was taking a shower and the water was coming through a vent in the ceiling and into the floor in my room. This continued for over 30 minutes. I informed staff of this issue and they did not seem surprised or overly eager to correct the issue. They didn't even offer an apology. Breakfast was minimal. No Orange Juice and out of waffle batter. No workers could be seen refilling anything either. Will not stay here again. "

"The rooms were very nasty… spiderwebs build up stains all in the carpet stains over the walls the staff wasn’t friendly nor welcoming at all… 302.00 wasn’t worth it all!!! This was a horrible experience "
