"Located just a couple of blocks from the beautiful beach with an Irish pub Nextdoor. 3 stories and no elevator. The bed and pillows were comfy and our car did not get broken into while parked overnight in the hotel’s lot in back. This hotel is old but clean. The front desk is manned 8am to midnight."

"Great location, comfortable, and easy check-in! Always a reliable, safe place to stay. Judah Street Muni Train runs out in front during the day. Very convevient for tides down the line (i.e. Restaurants, Haight Street and Downtown) Coffee place (Java Beach) is next door, Ocean Beach Access is across the street, and it's only a few blocks to Golden Gate Park. "The room had a laminate hardwood floor that gave the impression that it was clean and as a result I found nothing objectionable. The ice machine outside was broken and it looked like it was broken for a considerable period of time. The lobby had a tiny ice machine which filled only one cup of ice. If you have a car you better check in early as parking is extremely limited. The location of the hotel offers great shopping and restaurant selection as it is on the north side of Lombard Street just one block from Chestnut which is a happening street in the Marina. I was traveling for business hence my needs are minimal which is a quiet room and a comfortable bed and although I was in the “basement” or 1st floor facing the parking lot it was surprisingly quiet. If you are looking for a budget hotel for a night or maybe two I think you would not be unhappy with this no frills establishment. "
