The staff are so friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The beach and surf side was literally perfect and out of a magazine. Will definitely recommend and return.

The hotel and staff were wonderful! Needs some updates but overall clean. On the main strip next to shopping and walkable to everything. The rooftop access to bar and pool of the Carmen hotel had amazing views of the ocean and more relaxing if you didn’t want to be on the sandy beach. The only downside was there is no onsite parking and we had to drag luggage down main streets and park blocks away. Expect it to be busy, noise and regular activities along a main strip of a city.

Room was always clean, the staff is amazing, great food and beverages right by the beach. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay, only thing is no elevator, walking 3 flights of stairs when you’ve had a bit to drink isn’t fun, but it’s one of our best experiences, 100% recommended

You don't come here for the pool when the beach is literally 30 seconds outside your door. Breakfast at the bar was nice and convenient. Trouble getting a lounge chair if you don't go out early, but there's other spots down the way if you ask them. I enjoyed that they didn't start music until later in the morning and that it was stopped at a decent hour of the night.

our check in was a bit cood, maybe the lady was not in her best mood, but we hope to receive a better welcome. the hotel itself is a jeel, very confy, coffeemaker with coffee, 4 bottle of water, shampoo, conditioner., all the necesities. we even had a great time in the sea.

Hidden gem in PDC. Rooms were excellent with everything you needed for a beach stay. Recently updated, comfortable beds and lots of large fluffy pillows. Housekeeping staff did amazing job cleaning and providing extra clean towels. Hotel staff very attentive to needs. Very nice beach club, kept sargassum cleaned up every morning. WI-FI did drop out and was slow, that’s was only minor issue we experienced. Great location right on 5th Ave. so close to everything. We had a great stay!

Everything you could want in a Mexican beach resor

Everything was working as it should, the a/c was cold the shower was hot, the room was clean and well appointed and the location was fabulous. The Beach and restaurant staff was friendly and accommodating. The Restaurant had great food at reasonable prices. One of the nicest beaches around. I will definitely go back.

Great hotel. Excellent food. Raul was a fantastic servercand the rest of the employees were great too. Rooms were clean. Fridge worked great. Beach is very nice walk about 100ft to the south to enter the water to avoid rocks at tge water edge

We had a very smooth check in and the front desk was great! Getting into our room, we had to walk down the street, through the El Carmen restaurant, through the Luciana restaurant and then to our room. The room was fine, it was clean, but it wasn't updated. Our unexpected surprise was that we could see the ocean from our room! First negative- There aren't ashtrays on the balconies. Someone threw a butt and it landed on my shorts, ruining them! Next, there seems to be a feud between the two restaurants. When you book the hotel, it says you can use both properties. I was told to move from a chair because it was on the wrong side? The man at the Luciana got me a new appropriate chair, but then aggressively bad mouthed (inc. excessive cursing) the owner of the restaurant next door. (After this point, the workers at the El Carmen restaurant began blocking the walk way between properties.) On the last day, we couldn't get a chair. We had to check out, so we were only hoping to get 2 lounge chairs until about 10 am. Basically buying food/beverages wasn't enough. We watched the workers pocket money and then people, who arrived after us, obtained or reserved chairs. There were many empty chairs when we left to shower before checking out. Lastly, when we went in to shower, the water had been turned off without warning. When we went to check out, a worker did show us a shortcut through the hotel so that we wouldn't have to walk through the sand with our luggage.

We stayed at the hotel Luciana and had just a wonderful stay. The restaurant has especially good food and Raul our waiter was very helpful and ambitious. I would definitely go back to stay at this hotel. The only thing was the maids had forgotten to give coffee and waters one they clean the rooms.

The hotel rooms are clean , average accommodation , the pool is nothing special but we didn’t go to swim in the pool we went for the beach and it’s right out our room and awesome . Service was great at the beach club and hotel ,The hotel is close to everything you need . If your looking for good place to hangout at the beach this is it. I would use this hotel again .

There is some wear and tear but the room is clean, bed was comfortable and I felt safe during my stay. The entrance is on the beach side or passing through a restaurant. Walkable to ADO and plenty of restaurants and stores. There is music that goes on 24/7 but it didn’t affect my sleep. To access the ocean

It’s was great. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There was hot water for showers. Refrigerator in the room. The staff was absolutely amazing!!! Location is perfect!! We had perfect beds to lay out on!!! It’s a definitely be back as I have been to playa 18 times!!!

It’s a fantastic location in the middle of 5th Avenue but there is noise and music at night. The hotel is also tucked away around the side of The Carmen hotel, so it’s sort of amazed to get to your room. They also do not have an elevator. Fifth street is also closed at different times during the week, so a taxi cannot always get up close to the hotel…that means walking to try to find them elsewhere. Also beware of the sargassum (seaweed season). It has a cute little beach club right in front that faces Cozumel, which is nice. The only true disappointment we had was about a noise complaint for a neighboring visitor who was playing loud music and we tried to contact the front desk, but no one answered until the next morning, so no sleep at night. Bummer when you’re excited to get up and start fresh the next day! Overall, I would stay again but consider it a budget hotel (but on the water!).
