My mom, my 2 kids (3 and 15 y/o), and I stayed at Marvic for 11 amazing days. We had a really good time at this property. What we liked the most were the location (not even a block from the 5th Avenue and very close to several beaches), and the staff. People who work at this hotel are veru friendly, kind and always willing to help. Gina was so awesome with all of us, especially with my little one, he loved her. Dont miss the opportunity to visit this property, besides the good price its a convenient and nice place to stay in. Our room had 2 beds, bathroom and a kitchen. We got all what we needed. Thank ypu so much for your kindness and excellent service. We hope to come back anytime soon. 😊

We had a window facing a wall :( so we did not get any daylight at all. Water pressure in the toilet was really bad, multiple times it did not flush at all. staff was very helpful and friendly which was the only thing we really liked. Pool was kind of cold. There are water coolers on each floor which is also helpful since you can’t drink tap water here.

I was ultimately disappointed in our stay at the Marvic boutique hotel in playa del Carmen. To start, we stayed a total of 8 days, and our room was only cleaned once even after asking multiple times. As a result, there was sand everywhere all the time and it felt dirty. Another big issue for us was the shower. It made a HUGE mess every time we used it. The floor, walls everything was absolutely soaked every time it was turned on. Another thing that was misleading was the view. I was under the impression the rooms had views over the city, however our window was literally faced another beat down building with no light. It was pitch dark. One plus about this hotel was the location. It was just off of 5th avenue, so we could easily walk every where. All of the staff were friendly enough to us and always willing to offer advice on things

Does the job!

Has the things you'll need for a simple stay. Has a stove-top and microwave. The pool on the roof is a nice touch. It's getting some wear and tear since I was here when it opened 5 years ago.

Needs a small fridge! Otherwise great!!!

A very good stay for a quick solo trip to Playa! The hotel was well-situated for my purpose of going there. I would highly recommend that a bar fridge be placed in each room! It would hold water, juice and a few drinks. No kitchen facilities are alright for a quick trip but water is a must. I would use this place again if there was a small fridge in the room.

Great Location

The hotel was located within easy walking distance to restaurants and coffee shops. The beach was about 5 minutes away, so very walkable. The suite itself had no view, the window faced into the building next door about 5 feet away, but it also blocked any noise from the street. Would stay again.

Marvic hotel and their staff are amazing! Stayed two nights near the end of my trip or else I would have longer. Staff is really friendly. My room was clean and everyday they came in cleaned the room. Lots of great restaurants, bars and shops less than five minute walk. The beach is less than ten minute walk. I definitely recommend staying at the Marvic

This place was not as described. The bed was the hardest I've ever slept on. It was incredibly noisy and not as clean or well maintained as I would have expected. The restaurant and outdoor seating was closed and unusable... The staff were mostly very nice and helpful and it's only 50 feet from 5th Avenue which was very convenient but also very noisy.

The property is well located. It’s okay in general but the cleaning has to be improved. The bathroom walls and the floors were really dirty. We booked a room for only one night and it was an inside room with views to the hallway. Dark and no natural air.

This was a great hotel if you are planning to stay off resort in Mexico. My mother is a snowbird and my sister and I went to visit her for a week so we decided to stay somewhere near her and close to 5th avenue. This place smelt amazing, the pool was very clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our toilet had broke mid week and so they moved us to a bigger and nicer room for free. So accommodating! Would 11/10 stay here again.

The only good thing about this hotel is the staff that are helpful and friendly. When we arrived our bedsheets were dirty, they did exchange them. We stayed in a room with a balcony but you could hear all the street noise and live bands well into the night. The balcony lights do not turn off, all that light comes into the room so it’s like daylight all the time. We tried to block the bright lights from the balcony but it still entered the room from the corners. Although it’s low cost hotel close to 5th avenue, I would not recommend staying here, it was not restful or peaceful stay.
