"The hotel was lovely. Just outside the old center of Lucca, a short walking distance. The breakfast was really good. The room was nice (the windows were small on our floor even though we paid for a larger room). Overall, it is worth not worrying about staying in the ZTL. I was in Lucca 25 years ago when that wasn’t an issue and had a lovely hotel in the historic center but now that it is an issue, this is a good alternative."

My only other observation is that the bathroom is not completely sealed off from the room, unlike what you typically find in hotels in Asia. As a result, sounds from the bathroom can be heard quite clearly in the room, which can be slightly uncomfortable."

The location for the tower and duomo however could not be better. Staff are polite and helpful and the rooftop bar is lovely for an evening sundowner and are not pricey for where you are."
