Hello!You reserved on the 27th january, we sent you a message with all the instructions on february 2nd, you checked in on 3 may, there's also a sign in front of the entrance of beretta with the adress, unfortunately, hotel beretta is a 1 star hotel, so, it is not required to have a reception, we manage everything from hotel monteocodeno, which is 50 mt. away, 1 minute by walk, we're sorry for the inconvenience this may cause

Great location,staff and views. It was walkable to everything and had a very nice breakfast. It was underconstruction so it was a bit loud at times but was quiet at night. I would stay here again because of location and price. If you want a upscale hotel look else where but the staff was really nice and helpful.

Propery seemed to be under construction. Elevator wasnt working. The water in the shower would become really hot all of a sudden.

I NEVER book a one star hotel. However, our last minute trip to Lake Como dictated a booking when I could find nothing with a higher star rating. HOWEVER, this hotel was excellent. The room was clean, bathroom was clean and large enough for us. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable. The breakfast, included in the price, was also very good and very large. I would definitely stay here again. Do not let the one star status keep you from staying here-the hotel was great.

We only stayed here one night and the hotel was clean. The room was a good size. We were on the second floor with a view of the lake. It was a little weird to figure out at first mainly because there is a coffee shop/store/café downstairs. The automatic blinds work awesome once we figured out where the buttons were. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was at another hotel down the street and it was ok. I would recommend staying here.

Staff were so helpful! Room was basic but for the price with breakfast included it is incredible value! Has convenient shop below which serves food coffee cakes etc. Check in was at a separate location only a minute walk away and was all quick and easy. Walkable distance to everything and really close to train station and ferry terminal. The hotel also stored our luggage all day after check out. Breakfast had good offering of cakes pastries toast pancakes and included tea and coffee. Would definitely stay here again and for the price in comparison to other places would definitely recommend.

Hello!Acs only works when outside is 25C or more, as we say and as there's written in the room, now, it's been 3 weeks since summer ended and i don't think we had a day where it was more then 25 C.

As others have mentioned the noise is pretty unbearable. If you are looking to get some sleep this is not the hotel to do that. Every time someone walks, opens a door, closes a door or even moves causes a loud noise in the rooms above or next to you. Also, the bed in room 10 was all springs as the mattress is so worn. It is very uncomfortable and unhealthy to sleep directly on the springs. The rooms were spacious and location was great. Staff was also nice and responsive and it was very clean.

Not as I thought…
Not as it seemed online. It was dirty, small and water leaked in the bathroom. Also we had a loud neighbor or staff above us that moved furniture all night, keeping us awake. Not a great stay but it is in a very convenient and great location.

The most convenient location! Close to the train station, ferry and a very short walk into Veranna. Staff are friendly and helpful. You do need to check-in up the road but it’s super close. Breakfast is there too.

Good value , quieter end of town.
We had a very good 4 night stay . Room on top floor with big balcony, spacious room. Matteo the manager was very helpful and accommodating. Bar downstairs closed early so no issue, street maybe a little noisy only for light sleepers Breakfast was at adjoining sister hotel, good selection. Both train and ferry, 5 minutes walk.

Great location near train and ferry. While basic, Hotel Beretta was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the staff was helpful. Air conditioning was good. Shower is tiny but to be expected in a retrofit. Breakfast was average. We booked late and could not find waterfront properties, but found Hotel Beretta more than adequate.

The hotel was newly remodeled, although a simple room pricing was moderate for the area. Availability in Lake Como for hotels. It is on the high end price wise but this hotel was adequate in all areas. Convenient for exploring the Lake Como area and especially the train station and a short walk to the ferry, landing lots of restaurants and scenery in Varenna Italy.

Como Lake is overrated and overpriced. Lago di Maggiore was far more fun, accessible and reasonably priced.

Matteo was a superb host of a substandard hotel. It was attached to a bistro that kept its music going until 8pm. But the worse noise maker was the two streets that abutted 2 sides of hotel. Noise came from motorcycles and cars.

Solid Budget Hotel
The room and bed were very clean. Staff was extremely kind and helpful- I was nervous about the check-in since it was during a limited time frame but the staff were very communicative. The second hotel where you check in is right on the next block and takes less than a minute to walk to. The train station is only a couple of minutes walk away and a big positive. Only drawbacks were that the walls were a bit thin and there seemed to be a bar closer to the lake that was hosting a concert on one of the nights we were there and we could hear it in our room. We were tired so we slept through it but for light sleepers during peak travel time it might be an issue. I personally would stay here again.

Had little bit hard time check in because the address wasn’t correct on the site. It is in another hotel on the main road. Staff is good and breakfast is good also. The hotel is 5 minutes to the ferry.

Had fun and would visit again.
We were late due to a train issue and the host waited for us and met us at the door. This was fantastic and took some stress out of our travels. Mater of fact everyone working at the hotel was helpful and pleasant making sure we were taken care of. Our room was small but had what we needed (AC in the summer is a must). The bar/pub downstairs was a lively place and was fun to watch the locals enjoying themselves and the food there was actually really good. As for location it was a 5 min walk from the train station and it was maybe a 12 min walk to the downtown of Varenna with its restaurants and all of the walkways from the only main road in town down to the long walk along the waters of Lake Como.

Every thing was excellent. The only thing that needs improvement is bed / mattress quality. That mattress is way too thin and worn out . I could feel the box spring underneath.

Checked out after 15 minutes!!!! : There is a noisy bar on the ground floor, which is not mentioned in the description. If you want rest and relaxation do not stay here. It is a party hostel for the twenty somethings it is definitely not a hotel. Even with windows and doors closed the boom boom from the bar comes straight into the room. I sat on the bed nearly fell through it whilst looking for other accommodation. Room extremely small and very basic. Advertised as Part view of lake, what lake?.. Also despite the obvious noise , they refused any refund, Orbitz also could not get them to coff up.. Strongly recommend stay away from this one, if lake como is supposed to be a relaxing getaway .

Hello!This review is funny, you checked-in and decided to go away without saying a word and now i receive this review.Our bar closes at 20pm this means it's lliterally impossible to call it noisy.Unfortunately there was a landslide and the stop of the sostitutive buses were in front of our hotel, but it's not our fault!

Hotel Beretta was very clean. Elevator was comically slow but convenient for bringing up luggage. Breakfast options were great and even had gluten free selections. Convenient to boat dock and restaurants. Varenna is magical.

We chose this hotel for 1 night as we needed to catch an early train to Milan. The lady at reception was very kind and helpful. Pluses: elevator, breakfast, close to train staion. Negative: very small narrow bathroom, soundproofing was not best (could hear the neighbor snore). I would stay here again for only 1 night but not more than that.
