"Beautiful house. Very clean and has everything we needed while on our stay. The communication was great, so it was a straight forward visit. The night time we went to the pub, literally next door. "Staff were very good about keeping in touch in order to accommodate our late arrival time. Parking was convenient and the room facilities perfect for our needs. Despite a band playing in the bar downstairs, our room was quiet. The full Welsh breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend 👍"

"Lovely stay in Y Capel. Check in really easy and parking onsite was fine. Room was absolutely lovely with a really comfy king bed and great bathroom. Breakfast was in the Erskine Arms and was really tasty. A fair few options on the hot menu and a choice of fruit, yogurts and cereal. We also ate in the pub in the evening and was a really nice meal. One thing to note.... The church next door has a bell that chimes every 15 minutes as well as on the hour, all through the night. Our room...

"Room smelled pungently of mildew. When I told the staff they said they’d have to do a better job of cleaning. We left several days ago and everything in my suitcase, including all my clothes, still have that mildew smell. Quiet setting. Large rooms but had no way to air out except for a tiny window 18x8 that partially opened. Luckily it was cool weather. Pub was cute and food including breakfast was good."

"The slate is a lovely hotel ,cosy and comfortable .the reception is welcoming and clean and there's a lovely log burner in the bar that gives the plase an atmospheric smell. Evening meal was really good and good value for the home cooked food we enjoyed . Breakfast was really good and just started the day perfectly . We recommend to anyone and we'd definitely stay again when visiting Wales ."
