"All was wonderful with the room, and the food was absolutely delicious. "

"We arrived on a late Saturday evening flight, ready to go to sleep. The plug on the wash hand basin did not work so the basin would not drain. Staff were very concerned and apologetic, but could not call a maintenance person until Monday morning (we were only staying 1 night) and couldn’t offer a change of room as the hotel was fully booked. A very disappointing experience and the weekend price was poor value for money. I expect better from HIE."

"Excellent stay and service, food was excellent with a good choice offered on the menu. The bar was also really good with several choices of beverages available, all were offered at reasonable cost."

"The hotel is in a lovely building, but the decor in our room was odd and dated - it needed a bit of tlc and updating in our opinion. Lovely views of the city and beyond. We wish the blinds/curtains had been black out, as it got quite light in the morning. The big light in our room flickered a lot, so we couldn’t use it. Free parking was great. The room was cleaned each day and had basic amenities - kettle with tea and coffee, ironing board and a safe in the wardrobe."

"i don’t understand the negative hostile reviews; many people leaving scathing reviews are for the rooms they book without a window, which specifically state before booking ‘no window’. duh. I arrived very very late and the night auditor (assuming), was professional, engaging, and fun to talk to at 2am. I had a room upgrade because of the time I was checking in I assume, and it was I believe in Room 520 on the 5th floor, with an amazing view dead center to the Modern Two art gallery. "Breakfast was fine. Staff is nice, but not super competent. Plumbing issue not addressed in a reasonable time frame. Double booked my room and had a stranger enter. They fixed it, and in the process voided my key. Had to keep reminding restaurant that i was registered for breakfast due to the room change issue. Great location. "

"It has small bar and very accommodating staff , breakfast is good for the price I pay.We managed to check in early as the room is available and we did had a good rest as we have an early flight. Location is walkable to prince st. And deans village but you can get a bus going to town centre."
