"I started with a bad experience since the beginning. Check-in was at 3, and I waited until 4:30; they still didn't have a room available for me to check in. I went to the nearby casino and returned at 8pm and the area had a blackout and no electric service. It returned until 2am. I was offered a complimentary breakfast and an hour or 90 late check out. Don't know if it was related to the power outage but the lights did not go fully off after removing the card. They would flicker on and off. To compound this, the reception knew about my late check out arrangement, but after me placing a do not disturb sign on the door handle outside, they came knocking, thus disturbing my sleep 4 times before regular check out. It seems to me there was very little communication in relaying the message to others. I normally don't give bad reviews because I worked in the hotel-restaurant service industry for over 30 years and have taught culinary arts for the last 14 years, but this was a very bad experience. Although I liked the place in general, I will not go back to this place since they made me feel I was at fault instead of them. I can get over things not in our control, but not deliberate bad service."
