Unusually large room; clean, carpetted, tastfully furnished, comfortable bed, plush sofa for the TV (good, with streaming channels). Krupp coffee maker; bottled water, no kettle, fridge, or safe; no a/c, noisy fan. Shower room OK: antique basin tap broken and shower tap kept turning itself off, but hardly mattered. "Perfect for a one-night stay back en route to Calais and I paid a bargain price for two rooms. Secure car park with quite a few spaces behind a shutter for about a fiver (although you can park easily on the street outside). Staff were very friendly and spoke good English. I wasn't sure if breakfast was included, but then again, didn't ask either. Wi-Fi worked for streaming, but couldn't plug anything modern into the TV as you can with Premier Inns. "Not sure where the photos on GMaps were taken but it doesn’t look like this hotel. We were initially given a room on the ground floor with no aircon. Summer of 2026 - 36 deg. We travel with a dog and a cat! Don’t ask! We queried the aircon and the receptionist move us to the first floor which are the pics I have shared.
