"Proximity to the beach is the best part of this property."

"The hotel is located in an upscale Neighbourhood that is close to a more private beach with fewer people. It is about a half hour or more depending on traffic from Ipanema and Copacabana beaches. There are restaurants along the main street. There was a Terrace on the 18th floor, which has an excellent view of the city and the multilingual front desk staff is excellent to work with for recommendations and directions. If you want to try the subway it is about a 10 minute Uber ride to the local station and the subway is very simple to take based on my experience in other foreign cities. If you are a senior citizen, you can present your ID to a staff person and ask if they will let you ride free. The ride from the airport is approximately 45 - 60 minutes depending on traffic and the Uber option is the best in my opinion. I took a taxi from the airport mid day and paid $75 Rs. I used the hotel one time for pizza which was excellent, but overall the prices there were a bit inflated and I spent more time checking out local culture and foods in different areas of the city. I would also recommend that you try one of the boat tours along the coast. I enjoyed a sunset cruise, which worked out well for me. I plan to come back when the weather is nicer. I would say that May probably isn't the best time of year weatherwise and my understanding is that November and December are warmer with more sun."

"This hotel had everything we needed. The shuttle was quick, easy, and ran on time. The breakfast buffet was good and included, with a nice variety. We didn’t use the pool as the weather was cool. Would stay again."
