"Great hotel. Friendly staff, nice pool, good buffet breakfast for price, great location, one block from a street with lots of restaurants, clean and comfortable room, my room had a great view of the volcanoes. Would stay again. "
"The location of the hotel is good, close to Malioboro Street (the main shopping area). The staff welcomed us with a cool and refreshing drink. However, the condition of our bathroom does not match the 5-star "luxury" rating. The vanity and the bathroom door are basically covered by some adhesive materials. It feels like a 2-star hotel!
The buffet breakfast is decent, offering a variety of choices. Nevertheless, I did expect more since it's a 5-star hotel.
Overall, the hotel did not live up to my 5-star expectations! "
"This so far has been the worst hotel during our long trip to Asia. The hotel is closed to a mosque and everyday we were woken up at 4:30 am during the praying call. It was not disclose to us and to anyone who is a light sleeper it was not so good. I didn’t have a good sleep for my tour the next day and end up with a huge migraine. The hotel does have a policy to charge you for extra towels. I’ve never been to a hotel that charges extra for towels!!!"
"Disgusting, Deplorable & Dusturbing Conditions
Unsanitary conditions, appallingly filthy dump. I was slightly uncomfortable with the exterior of the property, but I tried to keep an open mind and not judge the book by the cover. However, as the front desk clerk spoke to me with a "yes" instead of a greeting such as welcome or how may I assist you. The bad feeling in my gut intensified. I was shown to a nasty and gross room that seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in years - complete with cob webs. I called and told them that they needed to change the room because I would not be staying in it. He asked why and I told him that the room wasn't clean - he said, I don't know how, because it was prepared for you. Ooh really, with the dirt clearly visible across every surface and cobwebs, too? Nice touch, but I must decline. So, I was moved to another room which turned out to be worst - the toilet and bathtub was outside with insects and the elements having easy access to you. Not to mention the privacy and safety implications. Also, there was a septic odor coming from somewhere in the "bathroom", it was disgusting. At night there are no security or front desk staff, so there are potential safety conditions at night. "
"A stop was lovely. The walls were very thin and because they only give you one key there’s people constantly banging on doors to be let in this happened all through the night. It was quite annoying. Also, you need a key to get in the elevator so every time one of us would leave you’d have to go down to get them because the key was also your electricity.
Definitely needs to be sprayed. There were quite a few roaches, but overall the hotel was kept up very nicely"
