The property itself is very good and clean but it’s a long walk to the beach, the road is unpaved and lots of fast traffic by the hwy.

PROS: Big spacious room and bathroom. Clean swimming pools with a little play area for toddlers. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to the beach, restaurants and the centre of the small town. CONS: The WIFI reception is poor, the TV programs are basic, and the food in the restaurant isn't good but you are close to restaurants anyway.

I would stay there again. Beds were comfortable, filtered water was plentiful and nearby, fridges worked and most of all it was within a 10 minute walk to the quiet parts of the beach and an easy walk to down town food and activities

The hotel is very nice and clean. The staff is efficient. You can access a bigger pool in the connected hotel which is very nice as well. On our first days, the hot water was not working but was not a big issue as weather was hot. The bed and pillows are great!! Very good price for value hotel. I recommend!!

Could be better
The Good: the building, the room, the air conditioning, the hot water in shower, the food. The Bad: upon checkin we are informed that if we stain the sheets we will pay a fee to clean them. That's just rude. Entering the room, sewer smell, like other guests have commented. Covered the drain with the wet rug helped. Mold all over the sink area and floor area of the shower. Was nice they had a faucet near the entrance to motel as there is mud holes everywhere. Walk to the beach, is muddy road. No gravel to fill holes in the road by owner. Wont return to hotel again, also wont go panglao again. Beach had a junk house nearby, 40 pump boats anchored just off beach, dog poo everywhere.

Good place to stay.
We were very pleased with Amihan. The room was large with a King size bed, the staff was very helpful and pleasant. The food was good and the free Breakfast was nice. There was an international mixture of guests enjoying the pool and dinning area. There was a hot water issue one night but it was fixed within minutes. The owners three dogs were around, well behaved, making for a more home type of environment. We would absolutely return.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at Amihan. The rooms are big and clean, the beds were extremely comfy, breakfast was good and staff were able to answer any of our queries. The owners dog's are great too! The only thing that could be improved is the smell of the drains in the bathroom, it wasn't awful but there was a constant smell coming from them, we ended covering them with floor mats when we weren't using them which seemed to do the trick. Overall we would definitely recommend and would book again if we ever came back to Alona.

Place was really clean and quiet. Bedsheets and bed were wonderful. Breakfast great too. There’s a shortcut to the beach so only about 4 minutes. A little dark to walk the path at night but manageable l.

Staff and front desk are all friendly and accommodating. Food is great! My only complaint is the smell in the bathroom. You could smell the sewer, it’s terrible. Hopefully this can be fixed soon so you won’t lose customers.

The owners and staff of the property are very warm and friendly. Helpful with info about the area and activities. The property is small with a nice cozy feel. Comfortable and super cute. The breakfast is great and so is location. Definitely recommend!! Would love to go back!!

Great value for money
Amihan was really great value for money. They were really quick in responding to my email queries about arranging transport and very friendly when we arrived. The room we had was huge, with very efficient air con, big TV, comfy bed, big seating area and balcony, all very clean. Loved the pool, which was also very clean, with loungers to hang out on and the restaurant right by it. Breakfast was cooked fresh exactly to my order. There were also some really cute and friendly dogs who hung out around the reception area. Only a very short walk to the beach and all the bars, restaurants and shops in the Alona beach area. The only thing to bear in mind is that at the moment there is some construction work going on next door, which was noisy early in the morning. Clearly that won't go on forever, but if you are at all concerned, I would ask ahead about it.

This place was great. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful in arranging trips for me and my friend. The breakfasts were out of this world! It was worth staying here just for the breakfast! I can't stress that enough! The bacon and egg cups! WOW! The location was also a plus, a 2 minute walk to the Alona beach and 30 seconds from the main road. The rooms were so big I got lost in the bathroom! Great WiFi, wonderful pool, comfortable beds!

Lovely local stay.
Great stay at Amihan resort. A small local hotel with everything we needed for a great stay. The food in the restaurant was particularly good for the area- the included breakfast was delicious and the lunch and dinner we also had there was very good and reasonable. Staff helped us to book drivers for day trips and were friendly and courteous. Overall a lovely stay!

A hidden Jewel near Alona Beach
We booked a 3D 2N stay to celebrate my wife's birthday in Amihan Resort near Alona Beach in Panglao Bohol via Hotels.com, at it was amazing, the place is 5mins from the main busy place of Alona Beach, but not noisy, its a walking distance from the main highway, the rooms are big & clean and very affordable,food was also great, the staff where really accommodating and friendly, surely a place to return to if ever ill be back in Panglao, thank you Amihan Resort for an amazing stay

New and big room, enough space for two and all of luggage. Swimming pool is clean, and provided extra towels for guests, so considerate. Five minutes walk to beach is acceptable. Overall, I will come back.
