I didn’t want to do this, but this was a horrible experience. We booked JW for 2 nights. Right when we got there we did dinner at Mikado, and immediately I felt the food poisoning kick in. My whole trip was spent in the room. It’s the 6th day and I’m still not well. Avoid eating any seafood here as my friend who has also visited here got food poisoning from lobster and scallops. Room is nice, but scruffy. There is a lot of dust over the furniture. The first day our tv was not working. First it was the remote, then the tv itself. On the second day somehow it fixed itself. Room service is way overpriced. For a rotisserie chicken, veggies, mashed potato, and a small pizza, we paid $240. Overall, I wouldn’t visit here again.

Everything was excellent except there was not an adult pool option. My husband and I were looking for a nice getaway but it was largely populated by families and young kids. The don’t mind that but it would have been nice to have a pool for just adults with no kids allowed

It is a great facility but the food was terrible. I’d go back but would need to dine out. We spent a lot of money on our meals, too. Happy to do so if it was worth it but it wasn’t.

Huge property with lots of food options. Beautiful flowers that provide a peaceful setting. The staff was all very friendly. The views are incredible! There is not much that compares to drinking a tropical drink at a pool while looking at the beautiful snow capped mountains in the distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as did our two teenage kids.

The grounds are quite nice. Great location. The hotel itself is old and rooms/hallways are in need of a refresh. We were in town for the tennis tournament and were disappointed with the sparcity of the busses provided. We had to wait over an hour after being told that a bus was 5 minutes away. In short, the resort did not contract enough busses to handle guests going during peak times.

The facility is great and the Mikado restaurant is fantastic. I also love the mini golf course. But the room carpet is dirty. The swimming pools have not been cleaned in many days, lots of leaves in the pools.

We have stayed here before and it is a very nice property with flamingos, boat rides, and a more luxurious feel. We enjoyed the arcade and mini golf this time as well. The food at the restaurant was decent. We were on a waiting list for Mikado but never got called so had to eat outside the resort, but it was a busy weekend I suppose. The staff and service are excellent and the room seemed newer. However, the overall property/building appears quite dated and could use some renovation.

Wonderful hotel
My husband and I had a wonderful time at this hotel. Our room had a pool view which was a gorgeous view of the mountains and the little lake and lush grounds, too. We had room service our first night, lunch by the pool and dinner at the Rockwood Grille. The food was good at all places we ate. They also offer a little boat ride around the small lake for $10, which was very enjoyable. We loved our room - beds and pillows were very comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. Absolutely no complaints with JW Marriott!

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the JW Marriott for four days, and our experience was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment we walked in, the hotel’s ambiance struck us with its elegance and warmth, setting a perfect stage for our getaway. The staff at JW Marriott deserves all the praise for their impeccable service. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. Our room was a haven of comfort with its luxurious amenities and thoughtful touches. While we found the beds to be a bit too soft for our liking, and the room fragrance somewhat strong, which unfortunately gave my husband a headache, these were minor aspects in the grand scheme of our delightful stay. Everything else about the JW Marriott was exceptional. From the culinary delights at their restaurants to the serene pool area, every facility was designed to offer a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The hotel’s location also made our visit even more convenient, providing easy access to local attractions and shopping. In summary, our stay at the JW Marriott was a wonderful escape from the everyday. Despite the minor hiccups with the bed’s softness and the room’s fragrance, we were thoroughly impressed by the hotel’s commitment to excellence in hospitality. We left feeling refreshed and pampered, with fond memories of our time there. We highly recommend the JW Marriott to anyone looking for a touch of luxury.
