"We stayed at Vayam, Gili Asaham for 8 nights in mid-April 2026 in room N.1. It was our second stay on the island, and it was very pleasant and relaxed. The room was comfortable with air conditioning and a king-size bed. Everything worked properly. The à la carte breakfast was good; I especially remember the Nasi Goreng, the typical Indonesian yogurt and fruit bowls, the sourdough bread, and that delicious cappuccino every morning. We ate at their restaurant many times, and the food was consistently good. The staff is very friendly and helpful; you never get a "no" for an answer. Overall, the value for money is unbeatable. I understand that it wasn't yet peak season, and they were preparing for it by doing some repairs. I think the bungalow would be perfect after a little maintenance, such as painting and cleaning the edges of the shower glass. I also recommend coordinating with the other hotels and local residents to keep not only the beach in front but the entire island clean of trash, a problem that, although not their fault, affects the overall impression of the island guests."

"2nd night of stay there was a large 2000 plus crowd at ceremony directly next door to hotel. Management would have known this ceremony was happening. They made absolutely no attempt to assist their guests, with hearing protection or using rooms that may have been quieter. No management at hotel after hours."

"The staff, air con & bed were very good. However this hotel is more suited to local guests, especially families, than international travelers. Eg the nearest atm is a 15 min taxi ride away. Also this hotel holds large corporate functions so access to the pools can at times be limited."

"The hotel villas and rooms are gorgeous while the foods were not that great. Considering the it's an inclusive resort, it would have been nice to taste the authentic Indonesian flavors instead of a bland taste that is catered toward most westerners. The communication were not great, for example ferry ticket discrepancy (it was quoted for 400K/RT/for 2 ppl but when we got to the ticket place it was for 1 person tix. After several confirmation prior to arrival at the place that it was 400K/RT/ for 2pp. Lost in translation even at the restaurant, we ordered for breakfast my husband got his breakfast and I never got my food. This was due to the mis-understanding with language barrier. It would been helpful if the staffs repeat the order or ask if everything was ok. The place is beautiful but nothing much around it; the nearest restaurant is probably another 30 mins taxi ride. The road is very narrow and windy; but once you get to the resort it is beautiful. "
