Enjoyed my stay
I definitely enjoyed my one night at the Casa Salmar and would go back again if I ever come back to Oslob. It was right at the edge of the downtown area and only a few minutes walk to the waterfront. The staff was friendly and efficient. My only complaint is a relatively minor one. There was no soap in the room, and when I asked I was told to go buy it myself at the local store a hundred or so yards away. For the price, seventeen dollars US this place can't be beat, and I would highly recommend it.

Amazed and disappointed at the same time
It was good since they gave us a big room. We were amazed but we were surprised when the door can't be locked, tv is not working and the bathub too.

Perfect spot in Oslob
Casa SolMal was great! I located in the Main Street so if u go to Oslob by bus they will drop you right in front. There are few places to get food around the hotel including a 7/11. The historic side of Oslob is walking distance so is very convenient. Also they help you with your tours and transportation so they make ur life super easy! The staff specially Elisha is very welcoming and they will be there for you all the time! The room was super big and comfortable with a nice queen size bed. If i ever go to Oslob again i will totally stay here!

2.30pm hotel wasn’t ready when we arrive

Our check in is at 3 pm which is the normal time in most hotels and before that time we check guest in when the room is ready but at this occasion it wasn't..We always try to make our guests to feel at home as shown in most of our reviews.

Your new family in Oslob
Casa Solmar belongs to a family, who treats all their guests like their own family member. They help organise your day trips and might even drive you there themselves. They give you tips: when to go, where to buy and what to see. Their own family dinner is open for all guests (the more the merrier). It was a beautiful and relaxing stay.

Very friendly accomodation from staffs although the rooms were not ready upon check in. Rooms were small but clean and good enough for its price. No wifi in rooms. Close to local ameneties just along the highway. No 24hr reception. Overall good for just sleeping overnight or two and out on day activities & tours in the area.

Great place to stay in the center of Oslob
Casa Solmar is located in Oslob’s town center, near the public market and right next to the RGT gas station. With its convenient location, it’s easy to find a place to eat, plus public transportation, esp. buses, stop right along the street here. I was actually surprised when I arrived and was shown my room. The room was huge and it was so clean! The private bathroom was also big, and it even had a bathtub with another shower. The room had AC and because it was such a big space, it was such a comfortable place to sleep for the 2 nights that I stayed. The only issue was that the water was weak so the shower didn’t work as well & there were a couple of times were there was no water, but only for a short period of time. Wifi also didn’t work well in the rooms, but you could use them in the common area, though it was also limited sometimes. Other than these, everything else about the room & facilities were great. The staff was also very helpful, and they arranged my transportation via habal-habal (motorbike) to the places I wanted to visit & the tours that I wanted to take. Overall, this place is good value – great place to stay in the center for a good price.

No more to 1 bed and 1 TV in the room. No desk, no soap, dont change the towels for all our stay there...no more.

You booked on our standard budget room, we have the deluxe room which has more amenities. We apologies that you didn't get fresh towels since we don't allow our staff to enter your rooms during your stay unless requested. if you needed fresh towels the reception and service table is open for your request. again we apologies that we didn't get ahead on your needs.

No WiFi and rationing of water
The room was fine, problem is that they're building new rooms directly above so you have workers banging away all day till 5pm. WiFi is non existent in the rooms and extremely weak at the reception / common area which is closed at 10pm anyway. There was no water in my.bathroom on arrival, I pointed this out and.somehow I was given water. When I came.back from the whale shark experience and needed a shower again there was no water in my bathroom. I complained and was given water, only for it to dwindle to a drizzle while I was still shampooing my hair. It took forever to rinse the shampoo out as a result. I decided there & then to leave. How can a hotel establishment ration the water for your shower?! They have offered me a free one.nights stay but really they should refund me the money I paid online prior to my booking for the one night I didn't stay. You don't need to sleep in Oslob for the whale shark experience, just get there before noon,.do the swim which takes 30 minutes and leave.

This is an issue with the whole town since there are a lot of users but we've installed a better water storage and pump supply so there is no water pressure issue now. we thank you for your business.

Spacious, clean rooms
The staff were really friendly here and helpful. It's just a 15 minute bike ride to the whale watching. The rooms are brilliant, very spacious, clean and comes with towels. Once the resort is completely finished it will be an even better place. The wifi didn't always work in the room but if stepped out to the balcony it would reconnect.

Sødt personale men badeværelset var ikke rengjort (hår i bruser mv), lugtede meget af kloak og ikke noget tryk på vandet. Herudover er væggene meget tynde hvilket resulterer i at der er ekstremt lydt. Vi var uheldige at vores værelse havde en vandhane der gik i resonans og skabte en forfærdelig støj/hyletone pludseligt - som regel midt om natten. Et fint sted til en enkelt overnatning (især i forhold til prisen) men ikke et Hotel til længerevarende ophold.

Gute Lage aber sehr unsicher!
Anfangs als wir am Hotel ankamen , bekamen wir ein Zimmer welches, nicht der Beschreibung auf Expedia entsprach. Im Zimmer roch es nach frischer Wandfarbe, die Zimmerdecke war an einem Eck einsturzgefährdet, der Wasserhahn im Bad war nicht befestigt und hing nur rum und es lief daraus konstant nur gelbes Wasser raus . Als wir uns beschwerten und ein neues Zimmer wollten , mussten wir 45 min warten bis ein Zimmer „aufgeräumt“ wurde. Dieses Zimmer war dann ok . Das Personal ist ttotzdessen freundlich und bietet gute Touren an. Am ersten morgen jedoch haben wir an einer Tour teilgenommen diese begann sehr früh um 5:30 . Als wir um 9:30 von dieser Tour zurückkamen stellten wir fest, dass unser Geld, welches wir in unserem Zimmer in unserem Rucksack versteckten, verschwunden war. Das Personal deutete daraufhin auf die ca 30 Aushänge, dass dieses Hotel nicht für gestohlene Gegenstände haftet. Außerdem gab das Personal bekannt das dies nicht selten vorkomme. Sehr unsicheres Hotel, da man verschlossene Türen leicht öffnen kann . Nie wieder!!!

We strongly disagree with this comments, we strive to make our guest stay be an enjoyable one. The claim is erroneous and when we confronted the guest does not have a proof and even stayed thru the whole reservation dates. Its been a modus operandi of some foreign guest as experienced by other hotels in the region, so that they can claim insurance. And because our staff are naive, we sometimes are victims of these plots. We already reported to the authorities and have installed CCTV.

非常好的住宿体验！
房间好大，空调是遥控的，平板电视也好大，电视有两个中文电影台天天播放各种经典好看的电影。房间门口有私人小露台，有桌椅，很享受。院子也很大，有公共用餐区和小吧台。早餐是免费的，洗澡有热水，水量很大。服务态度超级好，旅馆门口等大巴时，服务员还搬来凳子。超级好的宾馆，超级友善的人，超级享受的住宿体验，非常满意！

Juste une nuit dans cet hotel avec ma fiancée qui n'a pas ete terrible... beaucoup de choses qui ne vont pas t je vais toutes les citer: - Chambre vide : pas de meuble, chaise meme pas une table... oblige de poser nos affaires a meme le sol. - Draps miteux parseme de trou et trop petit pour deux oblige de se lever toutes les deux heures pour eteindre ou allumer la clim... - Personnel: peu aimable..

水が出なかった
二部屋予約していたが、一部屋のバスルームで水がどこからもほぼ出なかった。 もう一部屋はかび臭かった。 結局水が出ない方の部屋は変えてくれたが、最初から水が出るか確認していて欲しかった。 石けんやトイレットペーパーも言わないとくれなかった。 ただ、スタッフの対応は悪くなかった。 値段的にもお手頃だったので、仕方ないのかなとも思った。

Hallo das Hotel Casa Solmar war absolute Sch........ kein Stuhl kein Tisch Toilette defekt kein Kleiderschrank Kleidung musste auf dem Boden abgelegt werden kein spiegel in der Toilette keine Getränke musste zur Tankstelle laufen einfach nur schlecht das Zimmer wurde nicht einmal sauber gemacht wärend unserem aufenthalt absolut nicht zu empfehlen

The 2nd flr units where you stayed are relative only a month old and pls advise our staff if there are any defects you notice, we haven't heard the same from the other guests. We don't let our cleaners enter your room unless requested to protect you and us as well on any items that may get misplaced. We appreciate your inputs for us to improve.
