"The place is neat and has plenty of rooms We booked a deluxe room with a kitchen and 2 bedrooms. The parking is located on the premise and the hotel is well located next to the Main Street of Takayama with all the shops and restaurants. "

"On our first trip to Japan, we were not sure what to expect, but Wat Hotel was an incredible experience. We came to the exceptionally clean and classy establishment and greeted by the jovial staff member Riko M. Despite how busy it was, she made sure we were well taken care of and made navigating the system easy especially with her great English skills. She had no trouble making us feel welcome in an unfamiliar area. The breakfast had a wide variety and even had several staff members keeping everything in order to make it a smooth dining experience. We would easily visit again during our next stay in Takayama and also recommend Wat Hotel to friends and family. "

Spacious and comfortable with great views.

"Very comfortable and spacious room with great views. Excellent breakfast buffet in a sunny big room. Shuttle bus service is prompt and good to have as hotel is on edge of town. Onsen was lovely, with great views and several different ones to try aswell as a relaxation area."

"Our experience at Hotel Around/Accend in Takayama was fantastic, and we enthusiastically suggest it to our friends and family. The hotel is conveniently located near the train and bus station and old town shopping area, is brand new with a laundry room and lockers, offers excellent service, and has spacious rooms. If we find ourselves in the Hida/Takayama area again, we will definitely choose to stay at this hotel."

Hotel Staff Was Honest

"During my stay@ Takayama Green hotel, I had forgotten to take my handbag with me when I stepped out of their executive club room. My handbag contained my son's and my passports & wallet. To my relief, the hotel front desk contacted me immediately when their staff found my handbag. Everything in my handbag was left untouched. "

Everything you want in a Ryokan!

"Charming, very well run traditional Inn with great amenities and features. Great location with valley views and easy access to old town and a short walk to the Hida Village. Laundry facilities are great. Caretaker/owner is wonderful. Definitely eat the traditional meals offered (western and Japanese options), they will be a highlight of your trip!"
