"Quirky, friendly historical venue. Everything worked well and although the building is tired, the owners and surroundings made up for it. We booked in for dinner and were provided with a warming, substantial home cooked meal and a Charming hostess. Good selection of wines. Lots of accommodation types available. "The accommodation we stayed in were converted stables. The rooms were well appointed, recently decorated and warm (we stayed in winter). The accommodation is annexed to the hotel. The hotel is the epitome of a country pub with traditional pub fair, eight ball and friendly locals in their seats at the bar. Not a refined experience but everything we were after, we were comfortable, fed well and welcomed."
