Brookstone Lodge near Biltmore Village, an Ascend Collection Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"I could very much tell that this hotel was very well-maintained. The staff was kind and helpful. The free breakfast was excellent too. My only comment is that the parking got a little tight at night as the parking spaces were almost all filled up. There is extra parking “above” their parking lot, but just be careful to park in the correct spaces and not the neighboring business’s spaces. I had no trouble but just wanted to share. I would definitely stay here again. If you’re into craft beer, Burial’s Forestry Camp location is like 5 minutes away. Downtown Asheville and the Biltmore are close too and are easy to get to via car or an Uber. Thanks for an easy experience! You also save some money by staying here and not downtown or with the Biltmore hotels."
"While a little worse for wear, we had a pretty nice day. The location and staff are both excellent. The hotel needs an update and the rooms need to be brightened up. Super dark with poor lighting. Again, excellent staff!"
"Over all it was an okay place to stay. The bathroom was incredibly small. We were not aware they sold part of the property even though they have pictures still up in their listing. The one pool they had left was small and couldn’t get in because of the amount of people. Needs updating"
"Room was clean and breakfast was tasty. Dog was able to safely potty. They allowed super late check in which was great considering our road-trip was delayed and we arrived at 2am and were able to get a late check out at 2pm. Staff were kind."
"Room was very clean and I have super high standards. Stayed in a lot of different hotels in this similar price point during my little east coast trip and this was by far the cleanest and most comfortable stay I had. Breakfast being served was a nice small treat to have. Lots of amenities and love it when a hotel provides slippers. Location is also great, pretty central. Would definitely stay here again.
I’d say the only downside may be a bit more helpful staff. Wasn’t bad, no one was rude or anything but valet didn’t help me with my luggage nor did reception ask me if I could use any help or even tell me where the elevators were. Most of the time when I check into a hotel they point me to where to go next. I kinda just wandered then found it."
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Downtown Asheville
10/10 Excellent
"The building is well kept and very clean. The rooms were nice and breakfast was good. The lady in the breakfast room was helpful and nice. We did not use the swimming pool on this visit but it looked spic and span clean nice visit overall"
"Location was great, close to everything!
In room mini fridge would have been nice and lighting in room was not good if you’re trying to apply makeup, rooms could use a vanity space"
