"This place has gone DOWNHILL. Everything is old. Paint chipping. Furniture chipping. Absolutely NOT worth the $$$ and will NEVER stay here again. We have stayed here before years ago. The rooms are ridiculously small. Very disappointed overall"

"Super friendly staff! Cozy B&B feel. Great location, walk to town or train station! LIRR and Pines super convenient. Amazing authentic chef made-to-order breakfast!! (And fresh artisanal continental breakfast included). Awesome and cozy speakeasy-style lounge, with special entertainment nights (check in advance). Perfect for short or longer stays. And great as a gateway to Fire Island Pines and Cherry Grove (5 mins to ferry! shuttle-style service avail). Huge clean room. Washer dryer....

"Unfortunately, this was a terrible experience. The room was not clean and there were used condoms hanging from a lamp in the room. The staff was notified and they were also mortified. They gave me another room with ripped carpeting, but at least it was clean. I would not stay at this chain ever again. I hate to write a negative review, but thought warming others was that important."

"Coming from out of town I had no idea what to expect. It was probably one of the most outdated and least maintained hotels I have ever experienced. Trash all over the exterior, no hot water in our room, no daily cleaning service. The rooms have not been updated in about 20 years. The room next to us had the window open to the exterior and all I could see was mold and the ceiling completely torn apart. I highly recommend not staying here."

"For one night the hotel was good. The bed was okay. Room was clean. Water pressure in bathroom sink was low but shower was good. Parking was free which is nice. No complaints."

"I have never been to a place that felt so dangerous and ghetto than this inn. As I pull up to park to check in, there is a police car there. Officer is inside speaking to the clerk behind bullet proof glass...no WAY was I going to stay there."

"The promo on Expedia said was near the beach.....was at least 1 mile away. The "included" breakfast consisted of brown bananas, soft apples, white bread and OJ. The main door into out room wasn't sealed. Light came in the room at night, bugs crawled underneath the door, etc. EVERYTHING was dirty.....bathroom, sheets, curtains, floor, on and on...."

"The property is in definite need of a remodel. It is tired looking and even only had one elevator working for 9 floors of customers. The good news is there were renderings on the wall with the new look, hopefully that’s coming soon because the property looks very dated and old. I personally wouldn’t stay there again until the remodel is complete. They should also have coffee makers in each room, that was another miss."

"Very clean. Easy to get to. Listing as described. Bed and furniture are nice and comfy. Only thing I would add is a broom and dust pain and some Clorox wipes so guest can keep it neat. 5 stars! Very nice host. "

"We normally stay at another nearby hotel, but the Hyatt offered a competitive price and we were very pleased with the hotel, staff and our room. In the future, I will be booking the Hyatt should room pricing remain competitive"
