"We stayed at the Japanese style house and it was amazing! It was huge and perfect for a family. It also has private indoor and outdoor onsen included in the accommodation just for us. The meals included were great as well, we had teppanyaki for dinner and Japanese breakfast. The accommodation is also close to the Hell's onsen attraction which is just minutes walk away so it's perfect for my parents. The only thing was the outdoor onsen was slightly too hot for us as you cannot adjust the water...

"Lovely stay at Yufuin. There is a free pick-up and drop-off options available from JR Yufuin Station which is a must unless you want to walk up crazy hills to get to the property. The room we stayed had traditional tatami mats and plenty of space to lounge around before enjoying hot springs. This property allowed us to book a private bath free of charge, and also the public bath that is open til late which was convenient. There is also free Japanese kimono that you can wear during your stay....

Single storey Japanese style cottages or rooms (new wing) surrounded by Japanese gardens and features. 4-5 private in door and outdoor onsens to choose from. Delicious breakfast and for those with 1/2 board, the set dinner was very good with free flow of sake, coffee/tea and orange juice. Coffee/tea and orange juice also available at the reception lobby throughout our stay. Will stay again if visiting Yufurin in near future"

We travelled straight from Fukuoka International Airport to Beppu using a bus that allowed us to alight near Beppu City Hall. From there, it was an easy 5-minute walk.
