"We changed our road trip plans at the last minute and stumbled across this absolute hidden gem. Spacious, clean rooms, beautifully kept grounds, picturesque and convenient location by the highway and wonderful, friendly owners!"

"I was worried when we drove into town and the looks of the outside of the building but we stayed in the main part along Hwy 17 and it was excellent! It was cleaner and the bed more comfy than some of the other chain hotels we stayed at during our vacation. Well done Voy!"

"Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was great. There are things that need improvement as this property will be undergoing some renovations by the new owners. It is a rustic old time Inn, but it is quaint and charming, and reminds you of the simpler days. The continental breakfast was adaquate, and you can always bring in food to store in their kitchen frig. The lake view with the mountains was beautiful, and the marina is right across the street."

"I had a bottle of wine and asked the proprietor if he happened to have some glasses (as opposed to the plastic/cardboard ones in the room). He was gracious and gave me two wine glasses! Fabulous touch!!"

"Older motel, totally old school, dated but very clean. Comfortable for a 1 night stay. Coffee & muffins were available in the morning. Staff very personable and accommodating when extra towels & pillow were requested"

"We enjoyed our stay in Batchawana Bay. Voyageurs Lodge allowed us to enjoy a walk along the beautiful sandy beach of Lake Superior just across the street. Our whitefish was delicious and the apple fritters were very good, but didn't claim the title of world's best (which still goes to the fritters from the long-gone Al's Bakery of Pine River, MN)."

"We had a great overnight stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were comfortable. The hotel restaurant was a nice change from the typical hotel breakfast. We enjoyed both supper and breakfast there, and the food was good. The kids especially enjoyed the pool. Overall, it was a great place to stay for a night while passing through."

"The Villa Inn is easy to find, right off the highway, and close to a Husky restaurant, Tim Hortons, and McDonalds. The building looked pretty new and the room was spotless and well-equipped... TV, wifi, fridge, a/c. No in-room coffee but it was available 24h at the front desk. A continental breakfast is included but I did not use it. Parking was plentiful and the staff were all courteous and efficient. I would definitely stay here again."
