"We loved this quaint location and the privacy of the individual cabins! They had all the necessities and a rustic vibe with a great location to everything in Decorah. The place was new and had comfortable beds and furniture. My only suggestion is work on the cleanliness (fingerprints were all over everything that's used a lot so it made it seem like counters and such were also probably not wiped down, hair in the shower, dishes and counter had a lot of dust, and some stains on main wall areas...

"I must say, we really enjoyed our stay in East Dubuque. We only saw a couple of other guests. It was very quiet and clean. It is an older hotel in need of some TLC on the outside. They need to write some checks for some landscaping service and some carpentry repairs. Then the place would look more appealing from outside."

"The house is beautiful and well maintained. It is a fun opportunity to imagine life in one of these beautiful old homes from the 19th century. A wonderful breakfast was served Saturday and Sunday. Simon was great. Friendly and full of tips and ideas to help make the most of our time in Dubuque. "I found the surroundings rather unique.The hotel is nestled in a ravine So it felt secluded even though it was right along route twenty (Dodge avenue).
