"Outstanding property and environment, but unfortunately understaffed with poor communication. Could have been the best stay of our trip but spoiled by amazing lack of information. It felt like a cynical exercise in capitalism. "

"Comfortable studio. Clean sheets and towels. Well equipped kitchen. Hosts not helpful with check in process for late arrival. Studio had an unusual, not pleasant smell when I arrived. Otherwise safe and friendly environment and right on Snug Beach."

"We loved our view of the river. Parking was good. Unfortunately we had a canvas awning or something flapping all night outside our room. I made the mistake of getting into bed with no light on....never again. I woke up to find blood on the sheets. It was also on my husbands side of the bed. Neither one of us had cuts on us. When I informed reception the man told me "Sorry maybe one of the Housekeeping staff had a cut on their hand. It made me feel sick knowing we had slept on someone else's ...

"This is a beautiful property and we hope to have the opportunity to stay again. The continental breakfast was plentiful and fresh, the kitchen being well stocked with a variety of tea, coffee, cereal, bread and toppings and juice. The accommodation was spacious and clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The off-street parking is extremely easy to access. "

"Quaint old building but with modern amenities. Appreciate the excellent location within a short walking distance to Salamanca Place and the wharves. Our room had a mesmerising view of snow-capped Mt Wellington."
