"This is a great little place outside of the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh and was perfect for a short overnight stay. The host was very sweet and the accommodations were modest. The breakfast was great and the coffee was even better. There is also a great restaurant close by for dinner called The Spylaw. Highly recommend it."

"Clean room. Parking for 2 cars only. No on sight staff. Comfortable bed. Great if your not looking to be hosted. Entrance could do with a good tidy up and a clean, doesn't give the best impression when you go in. But the room itself was clean and Comfortable. I would stay here again and would recommend 👌"

"The hotel was located in a small lovely village. We only stayed the one night but the room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. We appreciated having the restaurant and bar downstairs and the staff were helpful. The service was a little slow for dinner. The included hot breakfast was good and much appreciated."

"Myself and my mum stayed at Shawlee cottage over the weekend for Radio 2 in the Park. Both Sandy and Cathy were very welcoming, friendly and helpful, always stopping to have a chat when we saw either of them. Very good hosts. We had a lovely stay and it felt very homely and cosy which we both liked, was very clean and had no trouble with anything while we were there. Would definitely stay again if we come to Scotland again :)"
