"on a steep hill. steep stairs. creaky double bed. no headboard on single bed kitchen step steep. stair rails becoming detached. bedding was clean lots of pillows and towels clean. sink about as small as you could get one. difficult to actually wash and the shower head needed attention as did the soap holder (rusty and black). carpet on entry curled up so a trip hazard. as we only slept there, it was comfortable enough but we didnt cook anything . kitchen was a bit...

"Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. "
