"We stay here often, the location is perfect it is walking distance to the heart of Newport. The rooms are always clean and the staff is friendly, we like that it has a kitchenette area, sitting area separate from the bedroom. The Building is old so the only complaint I ever have is having inconsiderate guests above us that have no consideration that there might be people wanting a quiet stay. Parking is available for a price but worth it, construction workers were there during our stay and took up a few of the parking spaces that should be for guests only"

"The staff was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Our room was very clean and comfortable. And I loved that there were ceiling fans! We were VERY spoiled with the continental breakfast delivered to our door each morning. It was such a treat. I highly recommend the black iced tea and the butter cake....my husband misses his daily yogurt parfaits. We even told our 21 year old daughter that she should start doing that for us each day, but she wasn't very receptive to the idea! We loved that there was free parking available, since parking in Newport can be tricky. The inn was very quiet and relaxing. There were bad thunderstorms one day and we couldn't hear anything going on outside. They try hard to make guests happy. They even had sangria and flavored water in the lobby and umbrellas near the door......which we DESPERATELY needed on that stormy day. The only recommendation I have is maybe put another mirror outside the bathroom and an extra shelf inside the bathroom since there's no countertop. But overall, we highly recommend the Mill Street Inn and would definitely come back again and again!!"

"Our stay at this inn was good and we had all that we needed. The property is old, but the rooms have newer flooring and newer heat/AC units. There are separate areas for the sink counter, and the shower, commode, so 2 people can be getting ready at same time. The beds were large and comfortable. Upon arrival there were just barely enough towels/hand towel/washcloths. Once we asked for more towels, we had plenty. Staff was friendly and helpful. The Inn has a good location, close to everything, including the Navy base, shopping, restaurants, and downtown."
