Had a good stay at the Walker Hotel! The room was tiny as many others have said but my husband and I found it fine for the 2 of us and we didn't spend much time in the room. Was difficult to get around him to get out of the bed as there's only one side to get in and the beds are very tall, but that wasn't a big problem. The mattress was comfortable but the pillows were very flat and weren't great for my neck. The speakeasy downstairs was great and the bar in the lobby had great coffee but you have to pay a small fortune for it. Our biggest issue was the TV not working. Someone came right away when we asked about it and fixed the cable, but he said he'd fix the Chromecast the next day and he never came back. We were leaving the following day so we didn't follow up but maybe I should have called again. All around a pretty good stay.

The rooms were so small. We stayed for the amenities and couldn’t even get in the bar or get a drink. There isn’t a lot in the area.

The property itself was nice and in a good location. Not too far from the metro. We only spent one night there and the bed was very comfortable. The TV didn’t work but we didn’t need to use it anyway.

$30 per night "facilities fee" ("wifi, gym access, etc.") only disclosed at checkout sounds like a BBB complaint to me. Hiding it by deducting it from the incidentals refund is plainly dishonest. It's not an incidental if it's built-in.

Very nice facility. Our room was modern utilizing RFID entry, powered window shades, dimmable lighting and a USB port on the desk lamp for phone charging. A few more outlets near the bed would have been useful to plug in additional electronics, and there were some signs of ageing in the form of cracks in the drywall and tile grout, but, overall very clean and neat. Oddly enough, no mini fridge, but, not a dealbreaker for me Onsite restaurant (Mostrador) had breakfast, lunch and dinner available, however our schedule did not allow us to explore the menu. There is also a "speakeasy" called Saint Tuesday which can only be accessed via reservation with a staff member. Saint Tuesday was a cozy, very small room with seating and a bar and had a live jazz band playing (apparently a nightly event) and offered classic cocktails, house cocktails, wines, champagne, and draft beer. The beers were limited to a Sunday Beer, Lager, Sloop, and Juice Bomb IPA (which tasted a bit like grapefruit juice- delicious!) Staff was amazingly accommodating, polite, professional, and helpful!!! Every interaction left me smiling. No need to say that the location of the facility is within reach of, well, just about everything. WTC is a 10, maybe 15 minute walk away, subway station was about 6 minutes away, Park Fast garage 6 minutes, Starbucks, 6 minutes....the list goes on and on. Great location, great staff, great dining and sightseeing options. Will definitely consider again if staying in Tribeca!

For the room sizes they sure do make good use of the design. Not sure how it would feel to travel with more than one person in the room. Was very loud from the traffic at all hours of the night. But that’s not something the hotel can control.

I only stay at the Walker Hotel in Tribeca when I travel to New York. The hotel is clean, accessible and the staff is amazing. The café and restaurant are also very good.

The hotel is great if you’re looking for a late-night crowd. The rooms are very small and windows do nothing to help with the loud streets. However, the place is full of cool creative types and would be a blast for the right kind of guest.

It was a little run down, things didn’t work particularly well (air conditioner, toilet, shower). Sheets and towels were pretty worn out (holes and frayed). Cleaning was just folding towels and making bed and when I asked for it to be swept and surfaces cleaned it wasn’t done very well (still had hair and dirt on the ground).

This hotel was lovely to stay at. The location was perfect and was central to everything. Conveniently located near the subway station, restaurants and shopping. I will definitely be staying here again.

The hotel had a cute aesthetic to it with a nice bar and cafe for the morning. The staff was very friendly. We stayed to visit the AIRE spa which was right down the street and there were many restaurants in walking distance to chose from. We would stay again.

High expectations mostly met
The shower drain smelled musty and it lasted the duration of our trip. Our first room door wouldn’t lock for some reason, so we were ushered to a different room. That lock worked, but there wasn’t a chair in the second room, which is good and bad because of the size of the room (typical NYC size) even for a King Corner. For our trip that wasn’t a problem because we were rarely in our room. There is no in-room coffee, but there is an option to request it. We opted not to because there is a cafe downstairs, and if you choose that route, get a pastry, they were AMAZING!

The hotel prior to checking in looks charming, however it is very misleading. My room was FILTHY. We are talking dirty handprints on the walls, visible dust on the light fixtures, grime in the shower... For 600$ a night. Upon checking in (I had booked via Expedia) I was told at the desk that the rooms were HALF the price, but that I must proceed with the booking and Expedia would facilitate the refund for the discrepancy. Both Expedia and the Walker were absolutely impossible and denied saying that. HORRIBLE AND UNETHICAL EXPERIENCE. STEER CLEAR.
