The property was very nice , clean and convenient to Grand Central for subways, Walkable for very good dinging. I would suggest that they may want to update a bit of the room furniture though. Staff were very nice and accommodating. WiFi was sporadic at best....

This is a very clean quiet hotel. The rooms are good sized for NYC and it was such a good central location. We enjoyed our stay !

I come to NYC frequently on business and this is an excellent hotel for it's value. I stayed here with my sister and niece and it was perfect. The staff were friendly and professional, especially Brian, who was very helpful with my baggages on arrival and departure. The location is quiet, safe and convenient. The rooms are simply and elegantly furnished, and clean. The bed was very comfortable and toilet is installed with a bidet, which is a nice addition. The rooftop bar also has a great view of the Empire State. I highly recommend this hotel for vistors who prefer a comfortable and quiet nights sleep, without noisy partying guests and outside traffic.

Rooms were very cozy. The bidet, robes, and space were an extra perk. You are in walking distance to it all, without the loud noise of times square. Staff was accommodating and the rooms were some of the largest I have had in the city. Highly recommend!

Quiet and good location and as others noted, very clean. Front desk staff was not very friendly or helpful, and they do nickle and dime charges for everything including wifi, which cheapens the feel of the hotel.

I loved everything about this hotel. We stayed in April 2024. The staff was kind, helpful, professional. Our room was well designed, stocked with all the necessary items. It had a great view, too. The bed was comfortable, there was a towel warmer in the bathroom and a bidet. The hotel is about a 5 min walk to Grand Central Station where you can get any kind of public transportation! I liked that this hotel was a couple streets removed from the loud hustle and bustle - it seemed quieter than other streets and safe. Most printed things were in half English / half Japanese. The rooftop bar is beautiful, the downstairs restaurant looked nice. The main floor restaurant (cafe?) is a bit pricey, but looks nice as well. I would definitely stay here again!

The view from my room was wonderful and the rooftop bar even more so. The location could not have been better and the quiet street relative to where I was going to stay - a godsend. I will definitely return.

The Kitano is a cut above the rest. The rooms are thoughtfully decorated and the beds and linen perfect. Hard to fault with staff who are incredibly polite and nice. The only thing that let it down was the shock at being asked to pay for wifi. This is a big faux pas for me, especially in an age where wifi is free anywhere and everywhere. Am surprised.

It was a very clean and peaceful hotel. We enjoyed the 2 nights we were there. The cleanliness, the atmosphere, the room being kept up and cleaned when we were gone was phenomenal. I will definitely look into this hotel more often when visiting NYC.

I’ve stayed here many times and it’s always been great. This time around, it was bad. TV didn’t work. The tub worked but not the shower. Empty soda bottle behind the nightstand and dirty glove left behind in the closet. No laundry bag either. For $400 per night, this was really bad. The staff are always polite and nice.

Property was near to Grand Central for subway links and walkable to Empire State and Bryant Park. It was clean and comfortable and had a great view of the Empire State Building. The power in our room failed twice during our stay but was reset within a few minutes each time.

Nice and clean hotel in a quiet location. Easily walkable to other night life and tourist areas, but away from the action in a nice quiet area. Wifi is spotty. I wouldn’t mention it but for the fact that you have to pay 9.95/day for it. I expect better connectivity and reliability given that they make you pay for it.

Very nice property close to family. The roof top bar is very nice but ridiculously expensive. Staff was very helpful courteous
